Fwullah, I think Habibul_fan's point was to show the progression of the Aussie side. The first vertical line of players are the players that played in the Ashes series in '97, the second is the current side and the last line are the players most likely to take their place in a couple of years time in that batting order.

A Bangladeshi analogy would look something like this:

Athar Ali - Al Shahriar - Al Shahriar
Golla - Sarkar - Sarkar/ Seezan
Bashar - Bashar - Mazharul
Bulbul - Sanwar - Ashraful
Nannu - Tushar - Tushar
Akram - Rafiqul - Rafiqul/Hasanuzzaman
Moni - Kapali - Kapali
Pilot - Pilot - Anwar
Rafiq - Baisya - Masri
Saiful Islam - Talha - Talha
Anis - Monju - Shafaq

The first vertical line is the team that played in the Asia Cup in 95. Since those were the days before seperate ODI and Test Teams, I'm assuming that that is the team that would have represented us in Tests had we played them. The second line is of course the team that played the second Test in SA. The third again are the guys who might take over in the years to come.

Default That will be something..

..the day when we will have fully fit, and mature MASRI-Talha-Shafaq playing for BD at Perth or at the Centurion.

If MASRI & Talha have betwwen them 30+ tests of experience when Shafaq makes his debut, that will be something special for him. It will be kinda like a debutant Paki fast bowler getting to bowl along side the 2 Ws.

I think we are for the first time seeing a trend - one which we'd like to seriously follow for a long time. BD test matches will surely become more exciting to follow in 3 years time. I hope the good work continues through the WI series !!
