Default How to remove watermark from a PDF file?

Is there any way to remove watermarks from a PDF document?

I got a PDF document marked "Do Not File" and I want to remove this from the document. I am using Adobe Acrobat Professional 6.0.

I would appreciate any feedback.
Thanks.

Do you see a secure sign (a lock) at the status bar of the document? If yes, you can't do anything unless you unlock it. To unlock you'd need a password, or a pdf password cracker software. but the second approach can take hours. but it should not be a problem if the watermark is not restricted by security.

Yes, you got it.
I have been using turbotax for last several years and it was perfectly good. The final return was always free of watermarks.

But for no reason I decided to try hrblock this year and the final return after IRS acceptance came with this watermark which I did not like.

How is your cholesterol count, by the way?

No, it is not locked.

Document security shows the following:
Security Method: None
User Password: No
Master Password: No
Printing: Fully Allowed
Changing the Document: Allowed
Content Copying or Extraction: Allowed
Authoring Comments and Form Fields: Allowed
Form Field Fill-in or Sharing: Allowed
Content Accessibility Enabled: Allowed
Document Assembly: Allowed
Encryption Level: (empty)

Can you tell me what to do now to get rid of those watermarks?

Convert to postscript. Edit postscript. Reconvert to PDF.

I also use hrblock and don't like the fact that they put the watermark.

As far as the cholesterol count goes, I just finished my first cholesterol free (no gorur mangsho) week after eid. So I guess things are getting back to normal now

one easy way I can think of, print another copy from the original. I mean pdf print of course. and i think you'll have the option of including or not including the water marks in the advanced settings of printer. so you ended up with a new copy without watermark.

second way would be to find where to edit the watermark (i'm not sure how). or 3rd as Z said, back and forth from pdf to ps.

No..

I tried to convert PDF to PS, as Dr. Zunaid Suggested, using GhostScript.
But for a novice like me, it would take a long time to figure out a way in GhostScript. Again, I did not find anything on the advance feature on the acrobat distiller.

So I decided to live happy with the watermarks. That’s the easiest solution I found.
