We skittled them out here for 40 odds. Its a spinning track. Fielding three pacers in Chittagong would be quite presumptuous.

Shuvo is basically a darter, he is not really a spinner.

today I think it turned out to be the opposite...everybody including the commentator's are surprised by the lack of spin in the pitch....

pitch didn't turn as much as expected

Not enough turn for spinners. Plus the ball is slowing after it pitches

My thoguhts exactly....I suggested in the match thread for 4th match that we should bring in Rubel. He really needs match practice to play in WC.

There is no way spinners bowling 35+ overs can be a plan that will work for any team.. We had Razzak, Shakib and Naeem for 3rd spinner. What is Shuvo for? Today if Rubel came in as first drop we'd have been chasing 130 and batting already. We really need to trust in our pacers. Even India trusts their pacers more. And look at what has happened. Their pacers, just OK as they are, are in no way more talented than ours. However, due to practice, they will always be more effective than ours. Really sad how our selectors cannot get outof their comfort zone..

Maybe, he will bowl just one over.

there was an article in prothom-alo that stated that Rubel under the guidance of Ian Pont has improved his action to get more speed...nd Pont said they want to keep that hidden until the world cup...nd not have it revealed against zimbabwe....
