I have recently come across few pakis who think 1971 was caused by Indians to "separate muslim brothers"
On this very forum, i have come across Bangladeshi members who feel that:
a) The casualty/genocide figures of 1971 war are highly exagerrated
b) 1971 was primarily India's doing and in India's interest
c) It would've been better if Pakistan and Bangladesh were still one country

and many more feelings on similar lines. And honestly, i don't get surprised anymore.

Now, i can't comment much on (c) except i feel it is because Bangladesh fell way back on most accounts vis-a-vis Pakistan thanks to:
1. Leaders without vision or commitment who only pulled country deeper into the sink
2. Lack of Terrorism/Taliban-Dollars that got pumped into Pakistan
3. Lack of International attention as not Many Bangladeshis intend to blow themselves up (aka, weak muslims - pls pardon me).
4. Geographical problems (Flood, Shrinking landmass and growing population)

and that seems to take it's toll on many a new generation Bangladeshis who find much more pride in success of "Ummah" and especially so when there is far less to proud of on nationality.

I have seen this deep-rooted belief that "Bangladesh would've been better off united with Pakistan" among quite a many foreign expatriates of BD origin. And, again, IMO, it could be because Pakistan comes out more successful in economy/sports etc. Or probably they just have better physique - pardon my assumption.

My advance apologies to anyone who might be hurt by any comment above.

Pure, unadulterated bullshit. Every single sentence is a lie.

And i forgot to add - I request Arnab to do equal-equal India/Pakistan bashing, or just purely India bashing will also do. I promise i won't feel upset unless you are bashing Sachin .

DJ & Ganguly da, how about speaking of some Indian benevolence towards Bangladesh, and illustration of how genuine the camaderie can get in the coming years? See then how different a reaction can be?

You guys are just the same anti-paki ranting pseudo & wannabe intellectuals trying to stir up things. Good for you that you have on your side the Delete Happy moderator Arnab. Maybe one day he will show you the light outside of the confinements of Calcattu, and then further East, where people only want to live in peace and not associate themselves with your india/Paki malice that's been going on for decades.

Whats with the sudden inflamed passions against India and Pakistan now?? This thread needs to be locked for a cool off.

btw DJ, I know you've been around longer than I have, but I cant generalise forum posters as having pro-Pakistan sentiments like the way you have. Maybe there were certain individuals, but its hardly fair to lump them in here, especially since so far in this thread no one has overtly supported pakistan in the manner you described.

Personally I'd be disgusted to come across any such person here.

(Is it just me who thinks Arnab is just trolling around now?)

Yeah most of my Pakistani friends were taught a rather "edited" version of the history. And yes Ganguly da - the reality you mention is the one they learn.

Everything you read on Internet messageboards is necessarily true.

This thread is not going anywhere except continuing to flame, so I'm just going to shut it down before further damage.
