Default BD Players\' DUCK Analysis

Here's the DUCK statistics of past and current BD players. I only considered players who played at least 10 innings in either Test or ODI. The number denoted by (*) beside any number of the tables identifies the number of Not Outs. Enjoy.....

(1) Batmen (chronological by Total number of DUCKs)

(2) All-Round. + WK (chronological by Total number of DUCKs)

(3) Bowlers (chronological by Total number of DUCKs)

Comments:
Manju is our Courtney Walsh, but well-respected batsmen like Sumon and Pilot are not far behind. Sumon's far cry in ODI compared to his test performance. New hopes like Ashraful and Kapali should look at their statistics before going out in the middle to bang all around. Gullu should be the role model for consistency among current generation of BD players. although his strike-rate is always questionable. The think-tank has to decide whether BD should deploy attacking strategy or defense first. Given the current standard and form, I'd suggest to go for defense first, spending more time in the middle before showing their so called Genius of stroke-making. Hope our so calledd Genius' like Ashraful, Kapali and Rokon should learn from this statistics . Apart from that Nafis, Aftab and Rajin seem to be in the same trend of recklessness if we compare them with others based on % of ducks.

Based on Mashrafe's performance he could easily be considered as an all-rounder. Shujon's Test performance is far below than that of ODI, and it's not strange that he's no longer treated as a Test player. The less we talk about Mushfiq the better .

Finally, old generation bowlers like Shanto and Manju didn't give BD late order the solidity that we often find now. Talha needs to improve his batting ability a lot if he wants to see him among the strong BD late order.

Let's hope for the best.

So Pilot is the leader amoung current players. And basher is threating for the lead.

Pilot needs four more ducks to beat all time record (23).

Don't worry, One of them will beat the record in this England Series.

I think the notable thing in this table is the number of ducks made by the specialist batsman, rather than all rounders or lower order batsman.

yes, the standard way to do it here is to save the info in a spread sheet. ues the "prtSc" or print screen button on your keyboard to take a screen shot of the data, paste it in paint or something to save it as a picture (make sure all the data are visible when hitting the print screen button, if needed make different pictures for different table). save them as .jpg or .gif format (to reduce size, u can do it with save As..) once u have it, upload them in a free image hosting site. u might use this one:
http://imageshack.us/index3.php
or
http://www.zippyimages.com/

u get the url and post the url as picture here: like this <.img><./img> (do not use that dot, i used it to show u the code, u'd not see it otherwise).
u are done. probably u knew most of it, still i told u detailed in case u didn't.

I posted this data in another thread.
I thought it will be relevant in this thread too.

In test, batsman with highest number of ducks are Khaled Masud (10 times) and Mohammad Ashraful (9 times). In ODI, the duck-leader is Habibul Bashar (12 times)

The persons people usually wanted to see as most duckers are Rokon, Hannan or may be Javed Omar. Rokon has 2 in Test and 6 in ODI. Hannan has 5 in Test and 2 in ODI. Javed Omar has 3 in test but he never scored a duck in ODI.

If we rank our 40 test players by percentage of ducks in test innings from Low to High, Rokon, Hannan and Javed Omar will be Ranked in 11th, 9th, and 20st positioin respectively. Whereas star-performers are ranked as Habibul Bashar (13th), Rajin Saleh (19th), Khaled Masud (22nd), Ashraful (27th).

If we rank the same 40 players by percentage of ducks in ODI innings from Low to High, Rokon, Hannan and Javed Omar will be Ranked in 34th, 17th, and 1st positioin respectively. Whereas star-performers are ranked as Habibul Bashar (33rd), Rajin Saleh (28th), Khaled Masud (15th), Ashraful (26th).

Please see the figures below for complete tables.

Tansir

Sorry, I did not mean to duplicate your work.
I had this statistical table handy from my previous work on Test Innings Analysis.
After posting the tables, I noticed you were working on the table version of your data.

My posting may be the same thing what you were working on.
I’m sorry to interrupt in the middle of your work.
Please accept my apologies.

Thank you AgentSmith for your kind advice. To tell you frankly I ain't an expert fo websites, and I didn't know a bit of things you told me to do :P. I've learned a lot in the process.

Never mind babubangla. It's our forum and everybody should take part in it with all they have. After all, we aren't sharing any scientific invention here .
