I think if kapali was dropped in this match we could get a good score from him in the third.

If the first ODI at Chittagong hadn't confirmed what we all suspected, Bangladesh's inept batting performance in the second match at Dhaka left nobody in any doubt - they are so far out of their depth in one-day cricket that it is embarrassing. In the end they crawled to 134 for 9 in their full complement of overs, but it could - and should - have been so much worse.

England adopted a simple policy - bowl fast, short, and wide of off stump, and Bangladesh's finest followed the ball like lemmings, giving catches as if that was their purpose in life. There is support for the argument that the only way that Bangladesh will improve is by exposure to top-flight cricket, but it is beginning to wear thin. Their shot-selection today gave no indication that they had learnt anything at all in recent months.

The game was as good as over before many of the large and vociferous crowd had taken their seats, as Bangladesh slumped to 7 for 4 inside nine overs. James Anderson and Richard Johnson feasted like foxes let loose in a chicken coop. With the first ball of Anderson's second over Hannan Sarkar aimed an expansive - and entirely inappropriate - slash and Paul Collingwood in the covers took a good head-high catch (3 for 1). With the first ball of his third, Anderson bowled short of a length, outside off, Moniruzzaman, on his debut, offered a nondescript jab, and Chris Read held a straightforward catch (3 for 2).

Johnson then got in on the act, thanks to yet another poor shot. The ball was again short and wide, Nafis Iqbal tried to hit the cover off it, and a delighted Read held the thin edge. Iqbal had made 4 - all the runs Bangladesh had scored off the bat - and then Alok Kapali's feeble waft outside off stump against Johnson gave Read his third catch (7 for 4). The crowd, who to begin with were sea of flag-waving support, began to make their displeasure known.

Mushfiqur Rahman and Rajin Saleh then stopped the rot, but it the context of a one-dayer their fifth-wicket stand of 57, made from 20 overs, was pedestrian. Bangladesh had long since abandoned dreams of winning, and were determined to give themselves the consolation of batting out their overs. Andrew Flintoff, the hero at Chittagong, was below par - not that it mattered - and his figures of 1 for 17 off 10 overs underlined that survival was the name of the game. Only Rikki Clarke, whose 1 for 35 represented a quite wretched performance in the context of the innings, struggled for any rhythm.

Khaled Mahmud, Bangladesh's hapless captain who had won the toss and batted for the second time, cut a lonely figure. He batted like a man without a clue, and was twice leg-before to Ashley Giles. The umpire reprieved him first time, not that leaving him in the middle was an act of mercy. Mahmud sloped off, the derision of the spectators ringing in his ears (69 for 6).

There was little of any consequence in the second half of the innings. The occasional boundary was treated by the success-starved crowd as if the World Cup had been won, England plugged away remorselessly, and the futility of such a one-sided contest left all bar those who believe that badger-baiting is a sporting contest wondering quite what the point was.

Hasibul should ave played..... ideally to replace da muppet captain, but realistically instead of Monjural.

Mahud is a useless.
Allah help us in da 3rd ODI.

I want Rafique to take over captaincy in Zimbabwe tour.

In English there is a proverb:All well that ends well:

But Bd could not prove it.Another hopeless innings by all(not 3 players) Bd bats man.

We hope that atlest in this match Bd got atleast 6/7 wickets of English .But all in vain.

they bowled welll in first 15 overs both the 2 matches but what happened next.Why they can not continue that good bowling??

And whats about the batting.

Dont know???
