yp. my exams will surely be over by that time, and i'll have around three weeks' time before my next work term. victoria day weekend sounds good to me. i'll be in waterloo at that time, however, i may be able to make a contribution to the arrangements (arey waterloo-toronto all the same ).

put a poll on its various aspects... i.e. location, time, would come or not... etc etc.... I say, do it this summer, during BD-ENG series... IN TORONTO, the biggest city in Canada.

it's not possible to make a poll due to the lack of enough options - we'll need more than ten. however, it will be great if ppl who are interested can fill out the following "preferences" form here in this thread:
BC Amerigo - Canadian 2005 Meet Up Preferences form (ok i'll cut the crap here):P
City: (either in the states or america II)
Time: (good if it's this year)
Your fantasy ( i mean what you want it to be like, as in what kinda stuff u wanna do, e.g. playing cricket, etc, in brief: 0 - infinite number of words):
thanks

Well, I have made plans to go to Niagra falls on the May 21-22 (Victoria Day weekend), so even if a few are interested, we can do this. I am hoping I can persue some of the NY folks to come too.

arey bhai...interested oboshhoi... but it ends up being much better for some of the younger guys (if there's any, like me, who are students) to schedule it during the summer, when school's closed.
As for the form, here's MY response :
City: (whats america II) anyways, Toronto it is! hehe!
Time: Summer of this year! (June-July, 2005)
Fantasy : I dont care whats in the plan, but a cricket match has to be played.

Why not post the details of the meet here in this thread. That way if I can make it I will show up because without knowing the date and place it is hard to commit anything.

Yes, lets plan it. When? Where? I guess where would depend on how many of us would like to meet up. I would basically prefer a restaurant for a lunch or dinner. I propose Sunday, 24th December. I will be back in Toronto on 21st.

Sure, you are most welcome. I would even come to pick you in the Airport. You will get a special treat to travel all the way to Canada.
On the side note, there are enough BC people in Australia, may be you guys can arrange something of your own.

i don't think i'll be in toronto before the 26th/27th (tentative - could be there earlier, but possibilities are slim), so count me out if you guys are planning it before that.

Few things. We would like to do it in Toronto, so it would be convenient for everybody to come in. And Sunday or Saturday would not be a problem in Toronto, and if others are working on weekdays then they can join us too.
Lets just settle for a lunch then.
I think everybody would like to hang around downtown, so we may just have to go for fast foods. So, as for the place I would say Eaton Centre. We can eat Shwarma there at Shwarma King, hang around in the mall and then go for a movie.
The other alternative is Lunch in Bangla Town - Danforth and Victoria. Then we can go for bowling, I know a very cheap place $1.50/game/person. Bowling is fun man! I would chose this option over the downtown one. We can play for 3-4 hours, last time I went with my friends we played for at least 5-6 hours.
And Kabir Bhai, thanks for the honoring salutation but you can call me Ehsan, I just turned 22.

Bowling sounds good. Lunch at Bangla town is a no-no as far as i'm concerned. We could lunch it somewhere around the bowling place, i guess, depending on people's preferences.

Well, 26th/27th would not be a problem if all of us can make it on that day or on 30th - Saturday. I personally don't have any problem.
So, who else is in?
Asif
Mridul
Kabir Bhai
Bancan??? - Plz report on your availability
Mahir aka MasterBlaster, can we count on you?
Shahriyar??? - Plz report on your availability
Mahmoom bhai, any chance? Chinaman bhai, has the time come yet? Rubu, any possibility? Zunaid Haroon bhai, what are you upto? Still around Toronto?
Well, this is the first time so I would not mind a small gathering within Toronto. Next time we should go for a bigger one, may be during summer.

Makkah is a good restaurant in Bangla Town, I have been there. Or we can go to Gerrard - Lahori Tikka. There is no good lunch menu availabe in the bowling place other than Sandwiches and fries.
