Default BD v BD Dev

Golla scored a century today and Sanwar added 9 runs to his overnight total to score 52. Khaled Mahmud also scored a half century. So now, Hannan, Rokon, Golla and Sanwar from the first team have all scored some runs in the Challenge Trophy. Sumon is the notable exception but he will be in the team anyway. Which means one other batsman will probably come in. Right now, as far as batting is concerned, Seezan, Akram and Bulbul are frontrunners. Also, Ash is a possibility but I think he should first score some runs.

The best part again about today was Talha's opening spell where he got two quick wickets and missed a third when gully dropped a catch. He is getting his wickets behind the stumps and at gully which is extremely encouraging. Like I said before, Abahani is a dead pitch and to bowl two good new ball spells in two matches where he has really troubled the batsmen is very good.

True dat. Another enouraging aspect is Sanwar's form.Granted he didn't play all that well in the second SA test, but this guy has been scoring runs consistently in the last year or so.Add to that his mettle and guts, not to mention his handy spin, and this guy should definitely be in both forms of the game on this tour.

I've always found Sanwar hossain to be like Izaz Ahmed. Not a pleasing experience to see him bat, but can be effective at times.

The national team beat the development team by 10 wickets. Hannan scored the 14 runs required for the win while Rokon stood around and watched. Talha led the national bowlers with 4 for 39 off 18 overs to bowl the dev team out for 195. Rafiq took 2 for 35 added to his five first innings wickets. Sanwar also took 2 wickets. For the dev team, Johurul scored 66.
