Kenya to play in Sharjah Cup.
After SAs pullout from the series and difficulty in hosting the tournament in SL. Kenya and Zimbabwe have been invited in the Sharjah Cup. Kenya have already confirmed their participation and Zimbabwe are yet to confirm it.
Here's the article:
Pakistan will take part in a tournament in Sharjah that will be played between April 3 and 10. The tournament is neither part of Pakistan Cricket Board's contract with Cricketers Benefit Fund Series (CBFS) nor it will be called the Sharjah Cup.
"It will be a one-off tournament. The CBFS has conveyed to us that Sri Lanka and Kenya have also confirmed their participation in the tournament. But the organizers are also trying to have Zimbabwe who have yet to confirm their participation.
"The PCB has accepted the proposal to play in a revised format tournament because it feels that it (tournament) would provide good opportunity to its players to have a taste of international cricket," a spokesman of the PCB said Wednesday evening.
The spokesman added that the CBFS was expected to confirm the itinerary of the competition with other details by Thursday evening.
