I remember Brum, I used to watch it when I was younger. They still show it, I saw it last week, for old time's sake.

american muscle just doesn't appeal to me. as for the very best of contemporary design, their inspiration is mostly derived from the rounded curves of decades gone by..

there is nothing to dislike about them for a reasonable human being. a toyota is sturdy, reliable, handles boringly well, economical and meets the everyday needs, but it ain't an alpha romeo. some feelings are undefinable. a little like faith really. a nissan, a honda, a mazda might well keep us out of rain, start first thing in the morning in all weather, be cheap to run and might even add it's own street cred; but it ain't an alpha!

Supercar: Bugatti Veyron
Luxury Saloon: Audi A8 W12 (just watch Transporter 2)... Its as much a drivers car as a chauffeur driven exec car.
SUV: VW Touareg V10 TDI (pure torque)
regular sedan: Audi A4 2002-2005 3.0 L V6
lets see if any of the kids spot what they've got in common.

A 1960 Mark II Jaguar if I'm not mistaken, Puck. I'll admit to having a soft spot for old Jags. The company was never the same after Ford acquired it.
Speaking of old cars, there's always the Volvo P1800 from the 1960s of the Saint fame.
And I also have a nostalgic attachment to the 1967 Hillman Minx, my father's old car.
Again, nostalgia, albeit from not that far back, also plays into my sentimental attachment to the Nissan 280ZX and the Saab 900.
As for the two toys that I'd buy if I had money to burn, they'd be the all-electric Tesla Roadster (0-60 in 4 seconds, max speed 130 mph, 200 miles between charging, costs less than 2 cents/mile) and the amphibious Aquada (over 100 mph on land, 30 mph on water).

Few cars that I enjoyed driving other than aforementioned ones:
Toyota sports
In the streets of DC-Maryland-VA
Suzuki Grand Vitara:
Through the edgy roads between Albuquerque and Santa Fe
Chevy Impala:
Along the busy intersections of Nashville

So far loved the 1966 Ford Mustang Coupe posted by Sohel. How much does one of those cost nowadays?
