Default I was the best

I was the best on the last ZIM ODI fantasy cricket (techinacally). even though my points did not reflected it. I played with 4 persons instead of five in all 3 matches and ended up 13 or so. i fought with one less player, so ...

i choose both rana and rafique, but unfortunately, they never played togather. but both ROCKED.

Some suggestions:

1. Perhaps allow people to select different player combinations before the beginning of each game. This might be too much management and code change. As if you don't have enough to do.

2. Alternate is to allow a 6 or 7 person team and then let people choose which 5 to represent them in each match. If one doesn't select, just take the top 5 or if one forgets to change selection after a game, keep the previous 5.

3. Perhaps augment scoring. Just some suggestions:

Batting scores for: (values are just my sugestions)
50s = 50
100s = 100
Not outs = 5
Ducks (-ve value) = -20
Runs = total runs
Fours = num x 4
Sixes = num x 20
Batting position weight = so give higher weight to a #9 over a #3

Bowlers:
Strike Rate =
Number of maidens =
Economy rate =
Number of wickets =
Number of wides (-ve) =

The values need to be calculated properly so that one doesnt have an advantage over the other - otherwise we'll fill our team with batsmen or bowlers.

w/k is hard to rate so Pilot won't probably be picked :/

Points taken into consideration. Let me how much of this can be put into the system.

Another point that I discussed before is to implement virtual cost of a cricketer. In this scenario, a player will start off with a set amount, say 500 points. With this points he will have to purchase 5 cricketers. Each cricketer will have preset value. The higher quality cricketer with good recent performace will have higher cost. E.g: Bashar could cost 130 points, while Sujon could cost 75 points. Cricketer cost calculation would be done by some statistical analysis automatically at the start of the series.

Now, each fantasy player will have to distribute his points evenly to purchase 5 players. One no longer can get all the good players, because it will just cost too much.

In the middle of a series ODI or Test, if one wants to substitute a cricketer, then he/she has to pay the current value of the new cricketer + all points that was scored by that cricketer until that point.

Will have to see how much of these I can implement.

Sounds very interesting. Few suggestions:

a. Let's make each series (test + Odi) independent without any carry over.

b. At the begining, put the preset value of each player at the same rate (say, 125)

c. Get Dr. Z in the Fantasy management Team.

Well it's your fault for picking them both. You picked the wrong team. Hasib and I "techniquely" were the best

Test and ODI is independent now. But I didn't understand what you meant by same rate? If all player cost the same then what is the point of having cost associated with getting players?

Also, Zunaid bhai can do some maintanace of course, but my goal is to have zero maintanance. Only thing admins in future will have to do is to the start the fantasy at the start of a series, and the system will run everything automatically.

You are right, nasif. Please ignore my suggestions about the same rate.

thats great Nasif bhai.......I have a suggesion....can we make the overall winner a little spicy?

We can make BanglaCricket Squad of 15(or just 11).

They will be selected after windies tour....the top 15 overall winners will be selected for BanglaCricket team

If any member is in Top 5(or 7 or 10) of both ODI and TEST will be selected Captain of the team.

The team will be shown in the home page. For every new tour of Bangladesh....there will be new BanglaCricket team after the Tour ends.

Its just a simple suggesion....u guys can take into consideration and make some modification......if u like it....

Another suggestion. Before the start of every fantasy, declare me a winner and let everyone play for the second spot. This works out great as I get to be in the top 5 of both ODI and Test and like chacha, i get to be an automatic pick for the team as the captain. This way, we get some reality our fantasy cricket.
