.:: Predictions for 2nd Test ::.
it seems the 1st test will be ending in a boring DRAW, But what about the next test starting Friday?
take note that it will be a MUCH Quicker pitch with MORE Bounce, and that spinners (including sarwan & rafiq) will not be anywhere as successful as they were here.
I think the current WI team is fine and need no changes, what about BD?
i got my money on WI for the next test, the pitch will become a bomb field for batsman with Tino and Edward's pace.
hopefully we will have an entertaining match, with NO RAIN INTERUPTIONS.
Can't Wait.

I had WI in the series 1-0. Hard to predict that WI will not win. But as you can see from the first test, it won' t be easy for you, fast wicket or not.

Not a prediction. I would like the Windies to go into the match overconfident of the pace pitch.

im looking forward to seeing banks again, he's a very talented batsman, and great spinner, was very effective against Sri and Aus, good luck to him.

Dont think the pitch is gonna very super fast. May be its gonna be a bit bouncier than what we usually see. We have played in the wanderers in Durban before which has one of the fastest pitches (did pretty bad too ).
We are very proud of our team and just want them to give 100% all the time no matter what the outcome is.
My prediction is that WI is gonna win but not very easily.

question: if the pitch is not favoring spinners, why bringing in banks?
no, there is no way WI gonna take bd for granted after this match just because they pitch is bouncy. i see another problem, its bd who might be over confident because they are able to handle fast bowlers in this pitch. and whatmore is not there to make them professional about the draw and not be too happy.
my prediction: WI will win, but game will go into the final session of final day.

It's amazing how in the hoopla over the pitch everyone always forgets that both teams have to bat. Who's to say that the Windies batsmen will find it so easy to bat in either? BD have some solid bowlers who can bowl line and length and swing the ball, it's those types of bowlers who can suddenly catch fire in bouncy pitches. And just a couple of months ago the Windies collapsed for a sub 100 score against England...who don't have a fearsome pace attack by any means.
If the Windies think that a bouncy pitch will be a panacea for their problems they are mistaken.

Taking a note of how the WI batsmen have fared on bouncy pitches, they may well lose the second Test.
As far as Omari Banks is concerned, I don't see how he is a better spinner than Gayle. What's the point in including two right arm offies in the same team?

I know bangladesh doesn't exactly scare anyone, but it is amazing to see how far the Windies have fallen. All they talk about is the damn pitch, as if the pitch alone stands between victory and defeat.
And Omari Banks does not scare anyone, I'm sorry.

in next match.. no WI spinner will be able to stand much strong.. coz the 'surprise' is over.. BD was mentally prepared to face all-pace-attack only..
probably thts the reason behind Chanda's success in this match..
spinners probably will get beaten up in next match(if WI keeps any in the team).. coz BD playes spinners well.

that why SARWAN, who rarely ever bowls got 7 wickets !!!
Banks is named in the 13 man squad, he replaced Dave Mohammed, but i would like to see him in the team, and so does Lara.
WI 'should' win, this time the pitch is on their side, and the batting will be more confident, after being 113-0, the openers wont mind carrying on from that performance.

I don't think it was Sarwan's skill that bothered Bangladesh.......rather it was our mind frame. Our batsmen were in two minds whether to attack or not. We had this problem with mediocre spinners before (remember Grant Flower?). Bangladesh played Saqlain well, so Omari Banks should not pose any special threat. I am more concerned about the mind frame of our batsmen.
But whatever happens I'm sure the windies fans have their whining ready.........if Bangladesh plays well.......It will either be that "the pitch was slow" or "the team selection was bad" or their "players underestimated us". Just getting sick of these!!

No One Said That. It will be FASTER than the pitch in St.Lucia, NOT super fast.

you dont have to know how to swing the ball, if you have ever seen jamaica's pitch, its insane, the ball can do anything, that why i said that Tino and Edwards, with their pace it will become a bomb field. Bowlers like Tapash will also find it easier to bowl.

BD is not like England, WI learn from their mistakes, thats how teams later succeed.

No WIndian thinks that all will be fixed when they play in jamaica, all we are saying is that the pitch gives the fast bowlers the advantage rather than the batsman, OK????? both teams will have to put their complete effort.

they have not fallen, they are going through a very bad patch, just like every team in world cricket has done before.

arggg, im suprised how many people here thinks so low of us, and to think there still 1 match to go

lol, he's not put in the squad to scare people, if we want that, then we would use Dillon. Banks was a successful talented cricketer, and will be great to see him perform again.

i guess you should check out the CCricket MB, then you can see how many WI fans are deeply dissapointed in the teams performances.

So we should have said Rafique and Mashud are great batsmen! Man, we have two great batsmen coming at number 8 and 9 --- bring on Lillie, Thompson, Holding, Marshall, garner roberts, Ambrose, Walsh, Warne, Murali, Ramadin, Valentine!
