That's the spirit. Keep it up.

We should have won the series. The first Test loss was a huge embarrassment and the second Test win can hardly be classified as damage control. Not much to celebrate about.

Did we assume that a draw against SL in SL would translate into a thumping victory against Zim in Zim? Did we forget how different the conditions are? We shouldn't underestimate anyone on their home turf AND we've never won a Test abroad before, except in the disputed 2009 WI series. Where did the expectation of a thumping victory come from?

I do understand the challenge of playing Zimbabwe in their own turf, however when I initially looked at the Zimbabwe lineup, I never thought they can take 20 wickets, let alone 10 wickets under 150 in both innings....
Kyle Jarvis was the only notable bowler, may be Cremer to a certain degree but I assumed our batters are good against Spin.
Never even heard of Shingi M, Kegan Meth with 115kmph bowling hardly sounded threatning, Chigumbura is known to be wayward all his life...

I don't think it's so much about underestimating anyone on their home turf or not realizing our batsmen's abilities as it is about setting reasonable expectations based on where we should be at this point. Even if both games ended up being close ones, we should have won the series.

You're right about reasonable expectations but we should have also anticipated that Zim players like Taylor, Jarvis and Masakadza have also been improving, gaining experience and plotting against familiar BD rivals. I thought it would be closely fought and that we might edge it.
Turning to the future though, Moonda's latest article indicates that Zim will be playing 8 Tests this year alone. Given the long intermissions between series, how will we keep up?

We screwed up the first test for no reason which made the win of second test a big matter to celebrate.
Not happy at all.

It was a team effort. Tamim, Riyad, Ash, mominul scored some 30s. Nasir awesome as usual. Bowling was great and fielding was spot on
