Associate teams
This is a well wishing to the associated teams thread.
We were once an associate team. The plight we had to go through to get a window of opportunity to show case our talent once every 4 years....missing the boat several times.... BHULINI AMRA.
I am full of support of these teams. From Nepal to Scotland to Hong Kong. I think the gap has considerably narrowed with the introduction of the new format.
I am certain teams like Afghanistan, Ireland, Holland, UAE, Oman, Scotland are well capable of causing an upset to several test playing nations in this format.
Bangladesh is well in front of two/three test nation teams although the ranking says differently. Sri Lanka is severely lacking right now and could easily get beat by ALL of the associate teams that I just mentioned. Pakistan would get a nod because of Amir and Amir only. We without Fiz would lose a game or two in 5 game series. Zim same. England, WI aren't that far on this.
I hope and pray ICC reconsiders scraping this stupid Pre-tournament before the tournament in the future ICC T20WCs and allow the opportunity for some of the associates to pull down the so called elite teams. 16 or even 20 team format would be the best way to go when we are talking about 20 over games. 4 matches can easily be played each day in two venues.

So far, very well played by all the associates. Thank you and keep working hard.

Netherlands

Only Afghanistan have somewhat of a chance to qualify so good luck to them. Although I hardly see them beating Zimboks

anyone can win T20 on their day. But looking at the this year forms, the following teams are very close and can beat anyone amongst themselves.
1. Bangladesh
2. Pakistan
3. Sri Lanka
4. Afghanistan
5. Zimbabwe
6. Netherland
7. Scotland
8. Ireland
9. UAE
10. Oman
11. Hong Kong
I would like to see 16 teams in next T20 world cup. 4 teams in 4 groups.
