If Ash doesn't Score in this Series ... He's Done forever
You know guys Know Ash is my Fav Player but now Ash got no where to Hide theres players coming in from all angles gunning for his spot on the Team,
My Argument for Ash used to be, if you replace him were still 8 other bums on the Team who should be dropped before him and was still the best player perfoming 1 in 10 but now thats not the Case, the Talent Level has improved and Once a player gets a spot they cement there position. Rock, Shakib and Tamim have proved that ...
So As you biggest Fan Ash, please Score in this Series ... Your living Paycheck to Pay Check now, Grow a Pair and Man and score!

Beside Shakib, there is not a single player to replace Ash. When Rokibul matures enough, may be, who knows. But there is no one else.
I have no clue what you are talking about.
When we are having hard time finding players to fill in spots in the national team, why are you worrying about Ash?
This is given that a honest assessment of deserving is taken into consideration when selecting players. But the smell in the air is quite different. I'm afraid that very soon we'll see a quota system to get those ICL rejects in.

Thats what I am hearing at the begining of each series for last 5 years.
Before the series, the fan says these kind of stuff, then they take u-turn before the next series.
And I am here to say Ashrful is going to play for next 3 years (or more) regardless how much he scores. Furthermore this time if he fails at #3/#4 slot, he will be promoted to #1 slot opening with Tamim.

what's the point of opening up official ashraful thread, i thought the point of the official ashraful thread was you can write anything you want about ashraful, so that we don't have numerous thread about him. yet the person who opened that official thread, goes on and opens more ashraful thread.

I hate the Official threads...I dont want to read through 8 pages of comments from 2004 to understand the topic of discussion. Everybody needs to stop always pointing to those "official threads"...no1 looks at them. The reason behind those were because too many young kids in here opening unnecessary threads. But some threads are necessary...like this one! And now for my two cents on this topic...
Absolutely agree! There aren't more sure spots left in the Nat team anymore. With ICL players leaving, we've expanded into a bigger pool of core players. Before, if we dropped someone, we had to look to the Tushar Imrans or the Javed Omars of the world and there were never a chance of them succeeding! Hence, the SN's or the ASH's of the world always clawed back in. Now we have plenty of veteran (ICLers) to look to as well as bunch of young guns (the next generation BD cricketers) looking for opportunities. Guys like Shorwardi Shuvo, Shamsur Rahman, Mithun Ali are not even considered due to lack of space.
Any string of failures in the current roster could bring about fatal lifelong exit from the Nat team. These new guys or the ICLer are definite candidates to perform if given a chance which could be deadly for some present guys.
Immediate Risk in Order of Danger:
1) Rock. Too many possible Middle order alternatives - SN, AFTAB, ALOK, SHAMSUR
2) Naeem. Alternatives for Spin Allrounder - Shorwardi, Alok
3) ASH - Same as Rock's list. But Rock is higher on Hit list.
4) Riyad - Alternative Batting Allrounder - Alok, Shorwardi
5) RBX - Alternative Bowling partner for Mash - Rasel, Shahadat
Long Term Risk:
1) Mushy - WK Alternatives - Mithun, Dhiman, shagir
2) Junaed - Opening alternative - Kayes, SN, Shamsur
NO Risk:
1) Shakib
2) Mash
3) Tamim

Totally agree... It bugs me to read those "official" threads. If there is current "hot" news on a player or a topic, I'd rather read and discuss it in a new thread.

I'm sorry but Rock being #1 on the hit list? His average is the 2nd highest on the team so I'm pretty sure he's safe for now..

Why this?
Ash did pretty good in the last outings. He scored reasonably well, including that century.

ash did have scores of 50+, 60+, and 103* in a span of 4 innings. then took his guard off. the flat pitches in bulawayo, he really should have scored more runs.
he needs to hit one more hundred this series, with hopefully a couple of 50s to boot. otherwise, consistently scoring 30-40 at least 4 times out of 5 will suffice.
as always, fingers crossed. but nowadays we have genuine batters in tamim, sakib, even Rock to keep ash's eye sore's out of view.

If the cat has 9 lives, Ash has 99^99. He won't be done even if he averages 25 in this series.

IMO, it's not only Ash, every1 is in trouble unless ur names are Shakib, Mash or Tamim. Too many possible guys in every position waiting for opportunities. Frankly speaking, Ash is doing decent lately but he needs to do more @ higher consistency to get into the small club of "NO Risk".

Yes, ASH should score all the runs, only becoming the player with most runs is insufficient for him.
He is Bradman to the power infinity with an i.

Come on bro, BD team without ASH? its like india team without tendulkar. No matter how badly ash performs, we all know that one of his magic inning is right around the corner, and that might be the one which will win us WC11 so, do you want to replace our magic man with any other human being?

Nothing will change.
How many times has he failed in the past. One good innings and we are all running after him again.
