Default Khaled Mahmud in Casino?

I am hearing news Khaled Mahmud has been visiting casinos in late night during stay in Australia. Supposedly through people's fb accounts as well as in one bangla newspaper that is what it says. Can anyone verify? Am sorry can't find the source myself, but definitely, this news has sprung up

This gossip doesnt serve any purpose. He is a grown man and can spend his time as he pleases.

However with the harsh punishment on Al Amin, the hypocrisy of one of the team managers being out late at night is incredulous.

This news doesnt deserve much attention I think. Pakistan manager Moin lost his job because he went to casino late at night. That was just horrible.

I kind of hate shujon, I still remember towards the last part of his career how every fan cringed when he came to bowl or bat. He was the most hated man in the stadium and home when he was playing. 99 was long forgotten. In the recent past, his name has come up in spot/match fixing, as a team manager he was caught sleeping in the middle of an all important match (i mean who does that?), as a team manager to save his own a$$ he was instrumental in destabilizing the team in playing a role or lack of it by sending Al-Amin back, and having a major spat with the coach where they were reported to be not in talking terms and even the players said they were demotivating factors. I probably have no personal problem with him visiting casinos or anywhere else, but as far as the hypocrisy goes and the lack of professionalism and getting away with so many things goes, yah I do have a problem with him. He is truly the cancer of Bangladesh cricket as one of the other threads suggested.

Guys don't blame him for doing his job. He went there to make sure that no players could enter the casino.

Moin Khan said he went to have dinner there. I don't know about Australian Casinos but here in UK they have bars and restaurants attached to them. A very close Italian friend of mine is a croupier and I have often eaten at the one he works in using his 40% discount. Is it possible this this gentleman went out to get a bit of fresh air and perhaps some chicken wings?

I think going to the casinos should be a mandatory field trip for the boys. To build camaraderie. So they don't fight over women like Al Amin and Rubel. Enough lose women making the rounds in casinos, so no need to fight over just one.

Also, curfew should be increased to midnight. 8pm or 9pm or whatever it was, that is nota reasonable curfew.

If you focus on training, none of the other stuff matters.

Alternatively,If you read the scriptures 24 hours a day, live a celibate life, and come home before sunset, BUT are not training hard enough in practice, then you shall get be out at duck, drop catches, and get clobbered.

I agree. Aggressive risk taking or playing loose doesn't cost in cricket. You still get paid the same match fee. Get too loose on a table game, you would lose a lot.

The boys could learn calculated risk taking.

One thing I know for sure is nothing hurts quite like losing money.

Lose a game, the fans go disappointed. You dust it off, think about the flight back and prepare to open a cosmetics store or restaurant in Dhaka.

Lose at the tables, and the losses pile on before you can catch your breath. You ACTUALLY experience the full extent of a loss. Its not a good feeling.

But its exactly the feeling you want the night before a game, so you play in the pitch like everything is on the line and every run matters.

Mahmud, GET ON IT!

The most notable and doubtless portion of this article is; there is a bad reflation between many players and officials. That's speaks of the unity of the team. Can feel that lack of team effort on field as well.

this wouldn't have been news if the team was winning matches after matches. such incidents then would have been brushed under the carpet. the fact is we've lost all our practice matches, lost against sri lanka, and most likely we will get thrashed again in some of our remaining matches. this cowboy got caught sleeping on camera, has played his part in destabilizing the team environment and now he is visiting casinos. such indiscretions can not be overlooked. most importantly what is a muslim man doing in a casino? even though bangladesh is far from being an islamic state, it is still a muslim nation as the majority are muslims. when a muslim man makes his religion looks bad, he should be rebuked and reminded of his duties. unfortunately many bangladeshis are far from islam when it comes to our thought processes and lifestyle. i always got the feeling that a large proportion of us are not real muslims - materialists who don't really care about the scripture nor do we spare time to actually understand the beautiful religion. shameful.

So, how does your opening sentence relate to your "incredulous" conclusion? I find it very confusing.

Beyond all the overcool and "progressiveness", "grown man" cannot always do whatever they like or please -especially, if they are fulfilling a role of responsibility and leadership. They should set examples, establish discipline -not destroy it!

Those of us following Bangladesh cricket over a long long time know that Kaled"fleeping hippo"Mamud is a shady character and has damning influence on young cricketers. If we dig into his past many will be startled as to how he landed the very important role of a "manager" within the BCB. There are allegations against him of a "match fixer", too.

If these reports have any truth in it, this guy should be sent home IMMEDIATELY and never be allowed to be involved with BCB in any capacity. He, indeed, is a cancer.

Is there such a thing as working hour when you are a manager of a team representing Bangladesh at a world event? While he is at the casino who is managing the players? Who is making sure other disciplinary breaches are not happening? If he wants to gamble he can stay an extra week once the tournament is over.
When my office pays for my official trips i usually need to work during the night to prepare for next morning. KM better spend his "free" hours getting the team ready for Scotland. Too much casino visits might result in dozing off during a match..oh wait
