Yeah without key strike bowlers (Rafiq, Mashrafee and Enamul) who has penetrated Zim batting the best so far, and relying on 3 newbies (Razzaq, Nazmul and Aftab) our bowling was definitely very under-strength on a great batting pitch where Zim won the toss. Not to mention chasing 250+ on day-night match. Still, with a middle-order collapse it was great fightback by BD lower order by jsut 2 guys - Chcha and Tapash. Only fantastic fielding saved Zim ( 2 run outs). See how clsoe we came?? Only 23 req of the last 12 balls .. if jsut Chacha wasnt run out I think we woudl win. That doesnt speak well of the Zim bowling. That 30 of 2 overs almost changed the match.

This was an under-strength bowling side for BD which cost us the match. I still believe we can win the series but we must have a balanced team in both batting-bowling from next match on.

Zimbabwe played really well....but our bowling, fielding and middle order batting were not good......though BD did not have the full team......its a good lesson for BD selector...and to those ppl who think BD can thrash Zim 5-0......this Zim team is weaker than BD team....but slightly weak...not too weak......BD can only win the series...if BD can have their full strength

I just came from the stadium .

There are three reasons for this defeat:

1. Complacency: Shob gulu playerder emon bhab..je shobgulu
Nobabjada... kaore chinei na.

2. Selfish batting By Ashraful.

3. Stupid and irresponsible batting by Aftab and ALok:
ei stupid dui ta ke dia kisssu hobe na.

nasifkhan you probably forgot to mention about how Bashar did not use Taposh, Nazmul and gave Rajjak 8 overs to give 51 runs.

Plus while batting Bashar was dropped twice, Ashraful once, I think their batting put the middle order into a slump. These 2 players where supposed to be the leaders in our batting line up and their performce was a let down to the rest of the batsmen.

Let us forget about the bowling because bangladesh were in a position where then can easily score 252.

When Bashar got out Ashraful should have taken the responsibility and lead the team which he did not.
i expected him to play atleat till the 45th over and he got out playing a silly shot.

Every one in the stadium was furious about him.

Default Why Lost?

I think 80% blame should go to Sumon's weird decision not to use 7 overs left to Tapsh and Nazmul. Razzak was being treated harshly from the very beginning, stil he went on! The last over was crucial as it was bowled by Chcha. Though he did reasonably well in earlier overs, but not using Tapsh, a regular last overs bowler for BD, was a stupid mistake for Sumon. I wonder what happened to him? Or was Tapash injured???? Mannn..........so many stupid and suicidal decisions......just look how Aftab got out........having failed to score in 13 balls he went for a wild swing coming down the wicket...........a very wise middle-order batting at that stage, huh?

Sumon should be held responsible, only because chasing 250+ score under lights is never easy for any team at any place against any opponent.

Come back to Dharani pretty hard. We were in seven high after the test. That shows there is no difference between BD and Zim, we need to be in full strength to win the series, I am still hopefull we can do it , forget Alok and Raj, birng back Rafiq and Masree we are in both bowling and batting.

Bad middleorder batting is all i can say.

We needed to give these new bowlers a chance. Yes sumon's captaincy is getting stupider. But the batsmen should have done it. I believe bashar and ashraful are in a bad patch now.
