Default Mirpur Cricket Stadium Dev.nt work Inaugurated Today..

The board is planning to complete the basic developement work within next 6 monthes..

Here r pics of the Stadium, inaugural program and few drawings being shown to the TV reporters.. (pics frm TV news.)

good gradual slope of seating. But do you know what are the proposals for sunshading. It's going to be hot up there.

what if the BFF take away the mirpur stadium once all the electronic score boards and flood lights are set, and the capacity is extended to 65000?

I'm not sure about the details of the improvement scheme they have taken up.. but probably they will hav steel-framed shading canopies over part of the seating area.

I've heard they got a handsome budget for the total upgradation work.. and importance will be given on making the stadium visually impressive also.

Is BCCB going to retain the floodlights and scoreboard from BNS and trasnfer it to Mirpur Stadium???

just watched channel I news. the field itself looks small, but will look bigger once the athletic tracks are removed. loby just said they are following lords, they want to turn mirpur stadium into a mini lords. they want to make it an attractive venue in the region.

MasterBlaster: Current capacity is 30 Thousand..
To be extended to become 65/85 Thousand after renovation work(I'm not exactly sure which one..)

Why do we need a lords BTW ... we need just a good stadium for playing cricket don't care whether it i s lords or not. They should do something unique not just following ..... he is the one who wanted coaches from Paki so that our boys can understand them well and we were end up witl Mohsin Kamal and Ali Zia.

Mirpur = 30,000
BNS = 36,000
