Schedule of ICC Champions Trophy, Bangladesh has matches on Oct 7, 11 & 13
From Cricinfo,
India will take on England in their opening match on October 15 at Jaipur in the ICC Champions Trophy to be played later this year. India and England have been drawn in Group A, a section which also features the three-time World Champions Australia and one qualifier. Pakistan, South Africa, New Zealand and another qualifying team from Group B.
Despite being the holders, West Indies are one of four teams who will take part in a preliminary round-robin which starts on October 7 and will be played at all four of the venues. West Indies must take part in this stage because they are outside the top six teams in the ICC one-day rankings; Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe and Bangladesh are the other three sides. The two best teams from the preliminary rounds will go through to the second stage.
All matches will be day-nighters, with the two semi-finals to be played at Mohali on November 1 and Jaipur on November 2. The final will then be played at Mumbai on November 5.
Schedule

Champions Trophy Schedule
http://content-usa.cricinfo.com/ci/c...ry/245499.html
Preliminaries:
Oct 7: Sri Lanka v Bangladesh, Mohali
Oct 8: West Indies v Zimbabwe, Ahmedabad
Oct 10: Sri Lanka v Zimbabwe, Ahmedabad
Oct 11: West Indies v Bangladesh, Jaipur
Oct 13: Bangladesh v Zimbabwe, Jaipur
Oct 14: Sri Lanka v West Indies, Mumbai
Group stage:
Oct 15: India v England, Jaipur
Oct 16: New Zealand v South Africa, Mumbai
Oct 17: Pakistan v Qualifier 1, Jaipur
Oct 18: Australia v Qualifier 2, Mumbai
Oct 20: New Zealand v Q1, Mumbai
Oct 21: Australia v England, Jaipur
Oct 24: South Africa v Q1, Ahmedabad
Oct 25: New Zealand v Pakistan, Mohali
Oct 26: India v Q2, Ahmedabad
Oct 27: Pakistan v South Africa, Mohali
Oct 28: England v Q2, Ahmedabad
Oct 29: India v Australia, Mohali
Nov 1: 1st Semifinal - A1 v B2, Mohali
Nov 2: 2nd Semifinal - B1 v A2, Jaipur
Nov 5: Final, Mumbai
This is where it bothers me:
" All matches will be day-nighters, with the two semi-finals to be played at Mohali on November 1 and Jaipur on November 2. The final will then be played at Mumbai on November 5."
So the toss becomes very important. I am sure whoever wins the toss will bat first and let the opposition bat under light. I hope the big teams loses the toss 100% of the times may be then ICC will stop this day-night thing. If the WC can be held in all day time games then why not this tournament?

One word = $$$. They get more people through the gate for day-nighters as people can come after work. Plus they're more TV friendly (for the local country anyway).

I think we have good chance. The beauty is no test cricket till then so we just got to concentrate on ODI format and hope for the best. We should beat Zimbabwe... and inshallah aim for win against Sri or West Indies.. I think win against Indies more likley

There are day night matches cause not only its popular but also its really hot in India in that time of the year. Can you remember when Australia toured India in 1998? They had to play all those onedayers under the sun and it was hot April. And the end result was they complained about it to the indian board.

Q1 will be much easier to handle than Q2 I believe... but in order for us to be Q1, I guess we have to be the best team from the qualifying round and right now I will be just happy to make it out of the qualifying round. Can't wait!!!

There's no way we are going to the next round. There is only one reason that will stop us moving forward. And that reason is -US. With Zimb, we will loose that for sure. As Zimb played really well against SA and we struggled a lot last time we faced them. Secondly, SL had a great series and we will be lucky to get their first five wickets below 250 runs either we let them bat first or last. And WI, look at them not just Lara, but others are even better than him nowadays. Results speak for it(except the last match). I don't see any hope going to second round.period.

Unfortunately, I got rid of my "gnof" long ago (no use of 'tel' any more). You can ask cricfanBD what he is using.

Sorry, I could not follow you! Struggling against a weak aussie attack...when?.. where?...how?

The record doesn't look good. Last 4 innings 129, 77, 93 and 131. They better do well this time. They will play in India, not England and should use condition better.
