Default Nafees Dropped...Rafiq Next?

According to Tiger Cricket, Shariar Nafees is dropped from the playing XI for the match against New Zealand.

I guess, we may see Rafiq sitting out too.
Bangladesh team management may try to use the same line-up that was used against New Zealand in the Warm-up Match to reproduce the warm-up match result. 13 players were used in the warm up match. So it will not be entirely possible to use the same batting and bowling line up. They may try to keep the winning squad intact as far as possible in the following manner:

Step-1: Drop Shahrair Nafees and include JO as Opener
Step-2: Drop Rafiq and use 3 Pacers by including Shahadat Hossain Rajib

Step-1 is already announced. We may see the step-2 tomorrow morning.
Shahadat Hossain Rajib is already included in the 12-player squad for New Zealand encounter.

So the following is my prediction for the fist XI against New Zealand:
01. Javed Omar
02. Tamim Iqbal
03. Aftab Ahmed
04. Saqibul Hasan
05. Habibul Bashar
06. Mohammad Ashraful
07. Mushfiqur Rahim
08. Mashrafe Mortaza
09. Abdur Razzak
10. Shahadat Hossain
11. Syed Rasel

Here is the scorecard of the Bangladesh vs. New Zealand Warm-up Match

Dropping Rafiq will be suicidal. He's bowled TIGHT in all the WC matches so far.

It would be a huge surprise and a poor decision if Rafique was dropped for today's match. He's our best spinner and a good leader as well.

Hopefully, Javed Omar and Tamim can play 10-15 overs tomorrow so we can put less pressure in our middle order batting. And hopefully Javed Omar won't have a SR of less than 50 also. Good luck to Bangladesh!

when we've abailabe openers then why shud we stick with nafees?? i know hes better than them all.. but hes not getting runs.. hes struggling.. so we shud give others chance too...

and dropping rafique?? this is not happening..

in the warm-up match.. he was sick.. he had backpain or something.... nafees perform korte pareni tai take baad diyese. tai bole ki rafique re o baad dibo?? u think our management is that brave?

get your head checked dude - you cannot drop rafique who, along with mash, is the classiest bowler in the team.

seriously, these stupid selection suggestions make me want to stop reading this forum.

The only change that is required is tapash: he is injured anyway, so we need to bring in Shahadat who can rough some batsman up if he can (much like Tatit does for teh Aussies, albeit at a slightly lower speed )

Not slightly...but much lower pace than Tait. This is the biggest misconception that Rajib is faster than Mash,a actually the case is the opposite.

Hmmm.. I didn't know that. I always thought Shahadat was faster.. ..

Even if he isn't faster, I think he extracts more bounce, so that is something Rasel and Tapash do not have.

Okey..JO..good enough..what if Tamim fails? and Mushy comes in? we wont even get to 150!! Probably we'll end up with 151/1 (50 Overs) with JO - 60* (170) , Mushy - 80* (120)
Anyway..i just hope tamim fires today..as well as aftab.

If they're drafting JO to maintain the winning combination against NZ, maybe from now they should call up JO, Nafees Iqbal, Tushar, Nazmul and Taposh everytime we play Aussies.

JO's inclusion is like going back one step but the form of Nafees didn't help us at all. I think Rajin deserved a go before JO..

JO?
No, no, no, no, no!!!!!!
They should have picked Rajin in the place of SN. Rajin would give another off spinning option too. I don't wanna see BD scoring 170/3 in 50 overs while JO carring through the innings!!!!!
