I am now convinced Animal must make the trip to West Indies. Shabbir will also be ready for National team in a couple of years time.

Hold your horses. People had said the same about Nazimuddin and Zunaed Siddique back in the days...

Anamul is still too flashy. He is at this stage just another A like AAA battery. But I am very much convinced by Shabbir's performence. His mental ability in big match is something to watch out.

Now it's the football team's turn to bring the Gold tomorrow.

BTW I love our new (football) coach. He is so enthusiastic. "I guarantee everyone who comes to watch us tomorrow will go home happy. This is our home how can we not win?" He has only been coach for a few weeks and has already developed a great bond with the players and the country. Does anyone know where he is from? Both our cricket and footy coaches are baldies

At a high level, these are the only two sports I care about. Succeeding in the others is bonus.

Well done

Sri Lanka U/21 have three players from their senior squad, so this is not a small fit at all!

As far as height of level goes, I think our Hockey team performs at a far higher level (comparative to the pecking order of respective games).

Once upon a time, our players competed with the vary best (India, Pakistan). Along came artificial Turf and we lost our way. Sad really.
