Default Thank you to those fans !

While the '58' against WI had most of us in a post traumatic stress disorder, today's match had me personally feeling numb and emotionless. Why? who knows.

But I tell you what gave me a little moment to smile about is the fans that attended today's match. The way they handled themselves so maturely by walking out gracefully rather than sticking around throwing s*** on the field/booing/jeering, as an act of venting their frustration. Obviously we all saw what kind of publicity that gave us last time at Mirpur :| But you guys proved to be bigger people than what Shakib even was as he pleaded 'sorry' to the fans post match. And those who did stick around, gave us a moment that made my freaking day- THE 58 RUN ROAR !! That satirical reaction as Riyad/Shakib took the single to bring up 58 really did for me. Dont know whats been said in the forums in regards to the failures of our players but If you ask me, THAT moment couldnt be any more perfect of a message to our players, to express our deepest dissapointments. Much more effective than stoning/attacking/violence of any sort.
As I type, hope no one's plotting any sort of revenge acts for our players or the South Africans! :| Listen Im sure the players are just as embarassed as you are if not more! I really hope fans, media, press just let them be you know and maybe BCB can give them all a long break to get away from the madness-reflect on how much pain they've caused millions and millions of poeple.

a few things to point out while im on the subject:

What kind of a coach gives an interview to a highly established international media and states that he's teams batting performance is solely based on one individual and "If he doesnt score then it'll become difficult for us to win any game" and then has the audacity to say thats just the reality of it. I wanted to wait till our WC is over so here goes: Jamie Siddons thanks for your services over the last 4 years, and best of luck for the future..BYE BYE!
As for the other two coaches, I think its fair to say that ATMR couldnt have put it in better terms: http://www.banglacricket.com/alochon...ad.php?t=36654
^^you know everyone's thinking the same but just dont have the balls say it since we have them lurking around in this forum.

Shakib- for what its worth, once again you proved that you can keep your wicket when its needed the most.

Tamim- please refrain from talking to any press people in future. your attitude disgusts me.

Miss, I think u spoke too soon.

While the majority of the 25,000-strong crowd had already abandoned their seats long before the last rites were completed, the few that stuck around vented their frustration by tossing their banners, caps and team jerseys towards the outfield.

Captain Shakib, the only Bangladeshi to reach double figures, could utter just two words to the supporters who roundly booed and jeered his team.

The crowd had their right to throw their banners on the field. Hell I would have burned my jersey, if I was there.

I was there during both 58 and 78. Nothing happened yesterday. This performance didn't surprised us like the 58 one.

The JS interview ?? that was something he did very recently infact, just before the match against WI he gave an interview to the BBC and said If Tamim can stay at the crease for a long time then they have a chance of winning, if not then it will become very difficult-that's just the "reality" of it. Well I ask why????? why is that the reality of our team? He's been working with this team for almost 4 years and by the end of it all he has the nerve to say that our cricket is summed up by the hanuting phrase 'a one man team' ?? Sorry but he has to go.

Yeah bhai.
That 58 was a shock absorber.
Now nothing really hurts that much.
