We the bangladeshi student association here have a fund from which every here we donate money in different noble initiatives. We generate the fund mainly from the food sale in the International festival here in VTech.

Let me know if there is any way we can help regarding this project.

Hi Bangla_Amar, I remember you guys donated during the 2002 cheye dekho campaign for which we raised about $30K. Will get in touch with you once it starts, we will have a general meeting in NYC next weekend after which I'll have more details. I don't know the size of your student body, but do you ever do something like a Bangladesh Day? we have some very good films and documentaries which could be made available for some kind of localized fundraiser.

I am afraid that the student body is shrinking now in virginia tech ( visa )

So it is pretty thin now. I do not know about the fund raising effort. We can try but we really don't know.

We are really interested to get some good movies and documentaries specially about 1971. Movies about other issues are also all right. We can try those for fund raising effort but if it does not work..then we just want to keep those in our student organization collection to show on special occassions.

So I was wondering whether this films would be available online or you can give me some contact info?

Ehsan..I think you got your answer! Its a great school and keep it in mind when you choose for your grad school!

Rafiq bhai...I forgot to mention in my previous post.... even though fund raising effort might not succeed (but we can always try)..we have funds, its not a fortune though, to contribute to the project.
