santoro keeps on chugging along the commentators said it's his 63rd straight grand slam. hewitt won in straights which surprised me, fish took out calleri who is a somewhat dangerous claycourter, chela took 5 sets to take out isner which i found surprising, dojokvic and murray did much better jobs in their 2nd round matches both winning in straights and almagro who imo is a dangerous clay courter is still in it.

for the women sharapova had a bit of a scare, stosur beat peer definitely a surprising result on clay, bartoli the big french hope is already out and dementieva took 3 sets to remove dushevina from the draw. ivanvic took out safaraova pretty handily as well, safarova has been really disppointing this year, so much potential.

Sharapova was almost taken to the cleaners by that young 19 year old yesterday!

hewitt taken out in 5 sets by ferrer, robredo beaten by stepanek surprisingly quite easily and federer's through fairly easily in straight sets.

now for the women, with serena knocked out there are no former RG champions in the womens draw anymore. i guess kuznetsova will be the favourite having made the final twice and dementieva and ivanovic have made the final once. kuznetsova, dementieva and jankovic moved through pretty easily while sharapova had a bit of a struggle in the first set but won the 2nd comfortably.

djokovic and nadal both through to the semis, both won in 3 sets. nadal absolutely smashed almagro though. in the womens both the serbs (jankovic and ivanovic) got through to the semis.

in other news boys no.1 seed bernand tomic (an aussie) is still in the boys singles, the hyped up ryan harrison lost in the 3rd round.

Federer will face Monfils in one of the semis.

Nadal is having an unbelievable run in this tournament. Least amount of games lost ever for any majors en route to semis, 26-0 in RG. Faces a tough challenge from the current Australian open champ.

Jeeezzzz!! Nadal lost the game. 5-6. First time someone has taken six games in a set against him in this tournament. The game is on. Djokovic is playing more confidently. In last eight games he has won 6.

Nadal mini break up. 3-0. Djokovic to serve.

I have to mention Nadal saved two set points in his least service game to reach the tiebreaker. First tiebreaker in this tournament for Nadal.

1 set each, Federer is really pacing it up.
Monfil is slowly cracking up in pressure.

Hope he can get his composures together and take the fight back to the Great Fed.

I wanna see a 5-set match.

Fed leads by 2-1 sets. He will make it inspite of Monfils home support. I want Fed to face Nadal and be beaten by him, once again.

It will be boaring if Fed wins on clay.
