Mohammed Ashraful safed himself from Shakib al Hasan's Big KnockOut Punch. This time he was so lucky that he bowled well, His batting is still poor. Am I wrong to say that the supporters of Asharful does'nt know about cricket. If a player fails to perform the whole year, what should you do?, lets look at country example, England, Australi, South Africa, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka = drop them. Bangladesh = (keep them). This is a fact, all the supporters of Ashraful Does'nt Like RaQibul, Why?. In fact RaQibul Hasan is the most consistent player in the team!!!. If Ashraful gets a chance in Next Game well thats becuase of his Bowling.

ব্যাটসম্যান আশরাফুলের ব্যর্থতা-হতাশা ঘুচল বোলার আশরাফুলের বিস্ফোরণে
আগেই জানতেন খেলবেন। তার পরও টস শেষে যখন মাইক্রোফোনে দুই দলের খেলোয়াড়দের নাম বলা হচ্ছিল, মোহাম্মদ আশরাফুল গভীর মনোযোগে শুনছিলেন। ‘মোহাম্মদ আশরাফুল’ বলার সঙ্গে সঙ্গে দর্শকদের স্টেডিয়াম ফাটানো চিৎকার। ঠিক থাকতে পারলেন না আশরাফুল, ‘কী রকম যে লেগেছিল, বলে বোঝাতে পারব না...! সবাই চায় আমি ভালো খেলি।’

একটার পর একটা উইকেট পড়ছিল আর ভালো খেলার তাগিদ বাড়ছিল আশরাফুলের। মনে হচ্ছিল, আজ কিছু হতে চলেছে, ‘বুঝতে পারছিলাম, কিছু একটা করতে হবে আমাকে। আত্মবিশ্বাসও ছিল।’ ১৭ ওভারের মতো বাকি থাকতে যখন উইকেটে নামলেন, ‘মনে হচ্ছিল, ৪০-৫০ রান তো করা সম্ভব। তাতে দলের রানটাও ২৫০-এ যেতে পারে। ভেবেছিলাম পারব।’

আশরাফুল পারলেন না। বাংলাদেশ দলের ভবিষ্যৎটাও দুলে উঠল পেন্ডুলামের মতো। গত কিছুদিন বাঁহাতি স্পিনারদের প্যাডেল সুইপ ভালো খেলছিলেন। নেটে, তার আগে ঘরোয়া ক্রিকেটেও। সেই আত্মবিশ্বাস থেকেই জর্জ ডকরেলকে খেলেছিলেন ওই শট। মেরেছিলেন খালি জায়গায়, কস্মিনকালেও ভাবেননি ওটা শর্ট ফাইন লেগে জমা পড়বে অ্যান্ড্রু হোয়াইটের হাতে।

উইকেট থেকে ড্রেসিংরুম কত হাজার মাইল? আশরাফুলের পথ যেন আর শেষ হয় না! দর্শকেরা দুয়ো দিচ্ছে, কিছুই তাঁর কানে ঢুকল না, ‘কত কী বলছিল! কানে তুলিনি। রান না করলে এটা হবেই। তা ছাড়া আমি যে এখনো দলে সুযোগ পাচ্ছি, সেটা এই সমর্থকদের কারণেই। ভালো খেললে তারাই আবার হাততালি দেবে।’

দর্শকদের দুয়ো কানে না ঢুকলেও মাথা নিচু করে ড্রেসিংরুমে যাওয়ার পথে হাজারো অমঙ্গল চিন্তা উঁকি দিয়েছে আশরাফুলের মনে, ‘ভেবেছি, এই বুঝি শেষবারের মতো মাঠ ছাড়ছি। শেষ ম্যাচ খেলে ফেললাম জাতীয় দলে। অন্তত দুই বছরের জন্য বাইরে চলে গেলাম।’ ভালো না খেললে বাইরের চাপের চেয়েও বড় সমস্যা হয়ে দাঁড়ায় ভেতরের চাপ। নড়ে যাওয়া আত্মবিশ্বাস আর স্থির হতে চায় না, ‘আমি নিজেও তো বুঝি...ছয় মাস ধরেই এটা হচ্ছে। যে ম্যাচেই খেলি চাপ নিয়ে খেলি। হয়তো এ কারণেই ভালো খেলতে পারছি না।’

ইনিংস বিরতিতে অধিনায়ক সাকিব আল হাসানের একটা কথায় নতুন আশার দোলা লাগল আশরাফুলের মনে, ‘আশরাফুল ভাই, বাঁহাতিগুলোরে শেষ করে দিয়েন। তাহলেই জিতব...।’ আশরাফুল বলেন, ‘অবশ্যই।’ মনে মনে টেনশন। বোলিংও ভালো না হলে তো সবই শেষ! ফিল্ডিং কোচ ইয়ান পন্ট ও ট্রেনার গ্রান্ট লুডেন এ সময় পাশে ছিলেন তাঁর, ‘তাঁরা আমাকে বলেছিলেন, মানসিকভাবে শক্ত থাকতে। এখনো অনেক কিছু বাকি...আমি যেন সেরাটা দিই।’
৫-৬ ওভার যাওয়ার পর সাকিব আবার মনে করিয়ে দেন, ‘আশরাফুল ভাই, রেডি থাইকেন...।’ আশরাফুল বল হাতে পেলেন দ্বাদশ ওভারে। তৃতীয় ওভারের প্রথম বলেই উইকেট, তা-ও সাকিব যেমন চেয়েছিলেন—একজন বাঁহাতি, এড জয়েসের। বন্য উল্লাসে মাতলেন আশরাফুল! সঙ্গে পুরো দল, গোটা স্টেডিয়াম। বুকের ভেতর দলা পাকিয়ে থাকা অশান্তির বাষ্প বেরিয়ে গেল অনেকটাই।

দুই ওভার বিরতি দিয়ে আরেকটা উইকেট, এবার অ্যান্ড্রু হোয়াইট। আশরাফুল যেন উপন্যাসের পাতা থেকে বেরিয়ে আসা চরিত্র! যাঁর কাছে ‘রান রান’ করে তৃষ্ণার্ত সতীর্থদের কান্না, আর তিনি দিচ্ছেন উইকেট! আশরাফুল আবার বাঁধনহারা, তাঁর পেছন পেছন ছুটছেন সাকিব, নাঈম, মুশফিকুররা। লাল-সবুজের প্রত্যাশিত ছবিটাই ফুটে উঠল শেরেবাংলার সবুজে। আশরাফুলকেও প্রথম উইকেটের চেয়ে এই উইকেটটাই বেশি দিয়েছে আনন্দ, ‘পরের উইকেটটা পাওয়ার পরই আমার মনে হলো, আরেকটা ম্যাচ হয়তো পাব।’ প্রতি মুহূর্তে নিজের সঙ্গে, টিম ম্যানেজমেন্টের সঙ্গে এই লড়াইটাই চালাচ্ছেন আশরাফুল—আরেকটা ম্যাচ খেলার নিশ্চয়তা। সেটা যেভাবেই হোক, ‘বিশ্বাস আছে, কয়েকটা ম্যাচে নিয়মিত খেলতে পারলে আমি আমার নিজের জায়গায় আসতে পারব। ব্যাটিং-বোলিং-ফিল্ডিং—কোনো না কোনোটাতে ভালো করে দলে থাকতে হবে।’

নিজের সঙ্গে নিজের লড়াইয়ে জেতা শুরু করেছেন। দল থেকেও পাচ্ছেন সমর্থন, ‘সাকিব-তামিমের কাছ থেকে যে সমর্থনটা পেয়েছি, ওটাই আমার দরকার ছিল। খারাপ সময়ে সবারই ভালো পারফরমারদের সাহায্য লাগে। তারা আমাকে সেই মানসিক সমর্থনটা দিচ্ছে।’ এটুকু পাওয়া গেলে বাকিটা তো নিজেকেই করতে হবে! আশরাফুল প্রতিজ্ঞাবদ্ধ, ‘ভালো খেললে আমি সব সময়ই দলের বড় একটা অংশ হয়ে যাই, সবার সঙ্গে মিশে থাকি। খারাপ খেললে নিজের ভেতর থেকেই আর ওটা আসে না। এখন যখন সবই হচ্ছে, হয়তো ফিরে আসব আগের রূপে।’

I was so ashamed seeing our Boss Junaid Bhai Openning this thread about Ashraful!!! I thought Junaid Bhia would know about cricket and I strongly Respect him becuase I know he has More knowledge than me. But seeing this thread just gave me a negative feeling about his logic. Well if one match in which ashraful performed takes over big people like Boss Junaid, What will happen to Us((. I dont know how to protect myself from the Ashraful Virus (trojan).

Well, I didn't want him in the final 15 due to his poor form in international matches. Now that he is in the squad, we should support / motivate him to play his best.

Also, as he played against Ireland, he should be given another chance to play against WI too IMHO. তা না হলে সেটা অবিচারই হবে আশরাফুলের প্রতি।
