Suddenly the Group B is very open!
With Ireland's stunning upset of England, the last 2 positions are quite open. Only two of WI, ENG, and BD is likely to advance to QF. (If SA and IND hold to form, not a certainty in this WC anymore.) If one of WI and BD beats ENG, they might be out.
Even IRE has an outside chance of making it to QF. What an inning by KJ O'Brien! Came when IRE was 111/5 and went when they were only 11 short. Scored the fastest hundred in WC history in the process. 88 of his 100 came in 4's and 6's. We were lucky that Shafiul got him in our match. He could be our answer to batting PP woes! Make him a BD citizen, following ENG's lead of getting SA players.

Now we need to beat WI and IR need to lose to WI. Then we'll see things way more clearly.

Interesting situation indeed. I say beat WI and England both (including NED) and humiliate the South African in the last match to make a mark.

It is very open. But, we need to beat WI first and foremost. All the other stuff will sort itself out later.

Indeed. If we lose to WI, no other calculation will matter anymore really.
But we should beat WI and EN and make it to the second round in style.

Ireland lost a great chance losing an easy chase against us. They must be kicking themselves by now.
I think, they can not proceed unless they beat WI or SA. For us, beating WI is the most important thing. If points are tied and it is between us, WI and Ire, we will proceed to the knockout stage because of our head-to-head win.

Our MANTRA is clear, this loss has no effect on that: Win Against WI, we are in QF. If Eng keeps going down, we might find ourselves in 3rd position.

NED 292/6, IND 338ao and IRE 329/7.
Shouldn't that be encouraging to our batsmen when we play ENG? on the other hand ENG's batting line up should be a concern for the bolwers too but inour conditions I would like to believe that we won't let them break 270.

so we are a young team and still long way to go (about 20 to 30 years)!
so how long did it take for Ireland to come to QF once again ???
0 years they required for WC2007, and now they did it again!
this is no fluke, unlike us.
so what'd be your excuse this time?
WAKE UP all you [edit] bhayera amar, get a winning mentality instead of hoping god will give us a win us by crook!

NRR comes before head to head.
If it can happen without being at our expense, I would love to see IRE in the QFs.

Hope our players can pick Irish's mental toughness, the only thing we are lacking right from the begining.
I'm amazed by irish batters clamness on the pitch, looked like nothinh can bother them.

Thats the problem...we lack sloggers...even Tamim does not play long innings like Kevin O Brien did today!!

Nah mate, what if Irish beat WI and Ned? Irish are way ahead than us in NRR.
We have to win as much as possible to secure our place. Our boys should take lesson from this match and take their game rock hard on opponents. No choice.

We are second last in the points table. We cannot go lower than that.
