hopefully none will be drafted into this BS league.
we need to work on our Test and ODI game. then maybe think about making millions in the IPL. fame and glory of Test level cannot be exceeded by garbage cricket.

i agree good point made, but i think if they get a offer they will accept it and not think like us, as IPL is becoming a dream for every player. look at the money!!!

What will he learn by playing great first class games on swinging pitches. A hell of a lot.
IPL is only good for one thing, money, and sometimes entertainment.

good rsponse!
And I kinda agree with Rommel too.
Infact I don't think IPL will take any of our players(most of our players don't quite deserve to as they haven't been impressive in T20 intrntnls.)
Besides even if some gets a chance it might be worse(ASH & MASH for example).
So,I'd prefer our boys to concentrate on what they r doing now, forget IPL.

There are bhuri bhuri prospects like Tamim and Shakib with cooler heads and more maturity in Ind. Why would any team waste a intl slot on them? What is there to learn from slogging anyways?
I hope Tamim get county contracts. Riyad, Mushi, Naeem all should keep in contacts with Morgan, Andrew, Atherton (who else came?).

I doubt any players will get a contract and even if they do they will probably be warming the bench like Mortaza

Additional Information: All the foreign players will have renewed contracts. So why is only Pune and Kochi being considered. Dont you think RR, KKR, or MI be longing for Tamim as an opener

i think there will be redistribution in some teams..... sehwag gambir are in the same team..... dhoni raina in the same team. some of these will be redisributed. also bench players will look for regular games at other teams.

I hope none get the contract, rather they should look for contract on English county, even consider to find channel to get there. But no IPL. This IPL(Idiotic playing league) is just killing lots of players temperament and commitment and some are left bench siding.
we need out players to bloom and flourished not doomed.

I hope none gets the contract, but I think Tamim and Shakib are bound to get IPL contracts next year.
Why I hate IPL:
* It is way below international standard, people who keep referring to our players not being *ipl standards* should think again, in IPL every team has 4-5 world class players, and the rest are nothing more than ordinary players.
* I don't think anyone has anything to gain but money from such tournament, which will eventually lead players to become like Gayle.[who, if you don't recall almost abandoned a WI series to play IPL]

those so-called ordinary players are regularly beating the so-called world class players to a pulp. there are no more than 2-3 really ordinary players in a team. remember that the bangladeshi players are not competing against domestic indian players, they are competing against other international players.
edit, I don't know about tamim but if shakib doesn't get picked in next IPL, provided it doesn't clash with BD's international commitments, there is something seriously wrong with the franchise owners.

Our guys are not good T20 players. I'd be surprised if someone gets picked for more than $150,000. An IPL call-up would be nice and if our players get some games, it would be a good opportunity to sharpen their armory in this format, hopefully leading us to beating Ireland once in a while, but I don't think our players are good enough yet for the franchises to consider investing too much on them. Mashrafe was a big mistake.

I don't think mash was a mistake, his high price tag was, for it put too much pressure on him.
had it been any other coach than ugly ducky bokanan he would have got a chance to play in the first few matches and I think he would have done decently in SA conditions.

He went for 57 runs, most runs conceaded top at the table, unbeatalbe. He is by no means a T20 bowler. period
