But i honestly think that if Imrul was in the team he would make good use of the PP overs with Tamim. Anamul will then slot into his preferred position at #3. I still think Jahurul is a walking wicket tbh.

1. Tamim Iqbal
2. Imrul Kayes
3. Anamul Haque
4. Mahmudullah
5. Mushfiqur Rahim
6. Nasir Hossain
7. Mominul Haque

I'd rather have Anamul at opener and have a power hitter at #7. Babu, Shuvagata and Shabbir could be good there.

Mominul has good technique and not nervous. He needs to see field placement specially cover and mid wicket region where he was out in last 2 ODIs and both occassion Polard was the catcher . He needs to play in the ground.

if nasir also fails today we may consider his position for the SL series

Mominul and Anamul are young kids that just started their international careers. We have got to show more patience with these guys and persevere with them until they start scoring runs. We need to give them a long run as it is a big step to climb from domestic to international level. Lets not talk about dropping debutants for one or two failures. We brought both into the squad because we BELIEVE in their ability. The scores will start to come, just have patience guys.

Naeem on the other hand has proven himself to be useless in the limited overs format before and has had ample chances. He should not be dropped from test squad for ODI performances. Jahirul could replace him in this series.

Agree, Even Marshall Ayub could be a possible #7, but for now I'd be picking shuvagata or babu depending on pitch and conditions. I think bring those 2 into the squad and there are the players we should be taking through to the next WC.

@Gowza,

I would start to back up Hom and Sabbir as soon as they start performing until then sorry man.....no dice

Hom has not performed in many A team tours either...

I would rather prefer "less talented/less hyped" Imrul Kayes who consistently performs and eventually converts it to international arena.

another question I have in contention:
Is it really a good idea to bring in a newbie in such a crucial series decider game? If we really wanted to do it, we should have done it earlier...

^^ It's all about performance. If You are more talented than player X, then you should have better scores than Player X both home and overseas, That is all I am really trying to say, nothing else...
