Before the last over:
Mikhail Hussein - cape or no cape?
After the last over:
Whaddaflutterycape!
The Australians ain't world champs for nothing. They had problems adjusting to this format, revamped the squad and a couple of years down the road they are probably the best T20 side out there. Now time to make England's halua tight.

Saeed Ajmal to MEK Hussey, SIX, Australianism prevails! What a great dramatic game this has been. Goose bumps! What a heartbreak for Pakistan. Michael Hussey has played like a dream. Whaddaplaayaaaa! He finished the game with yet another big hit. This is the Twenty20 innings of his lifetime. And what a way to finish it in style. He cleared the front foot and swung the ball over long-on. The while ball disappeared beyond the boundary. The Australian dug out erupted in joy. The Pakistani camp is stunned. U N B E L I E V A B L E. Hussey is mobbed by his team-mates. Clarke envelops him with a hug. The entire squad is out there on the ground. Take a bow Michael Hussey. Respect.
and thats all i have to say....

I watched all of australias innings and gotta say what an innings by hussey!! I thought australia was done and dusted but thought they might have a chance since they are australia and pakistan is so unpredictable..gotta give full credit 2 australia..they just know how 2 win..they never lose their cool despite some setbacks..hussey is just world class..can block the good deliveries, rotate the strike with ease, and hit boundaries with ease as well..as for pakistan, I feel for them, they played a great game and just threw it away at the end..should not have bowled ajmal in the last over..but cant blame them 4 that..not having gul really hurt them..they played a great tournament still and should have their heads high..their a talented side but lack the discipline 2 finish the matches..and congratz 2 australia..gotta give them the respect..after this match I can actually say this..they are the world's best team and it is staying that way for a while!!

That's it - further proof that romanticism in this game is dead and cricket is becoming a power game through and through. That last over, Hussey middled only 1 of his boundaries. Yet with his reach he was able to plonk his feet way down the crease and swing away and rain sixes and fours. Kudos to him for his mental strength but we need to make bats less powerful.

and this reminds me, were we the only team in this tourney who kept this 'non-human Aussie run machines' somewhat under leash? (although this beast mike hussey was the one who gave us the final pedani in the last 5 overs and I believe was not out in the end as well).....
anyway.... only Australia can produce consistent players like m.hussey.... the opponents just have to catch Australia on these players' bad day....
