Love as a Solution to Terrorism
I was going through some back issues of The Atlantic Monthly when I came across this gem. Since we've been discussing both romantic love and international relations in some other threads, I thought some of you might get a kick out of it.

"Do you want to know how to eliminate terrorism? I'll tell you. In fact, I'll tell you about something that no one else knows. Something that has never been written about. You will be amazed, but it is true. Listen."

Wasn't the US army trying to develop a 'love bomb'? Upon detonation, the enemy was supposed to drop weapons and start making out with his fellow men in the foxhole. Maybe, it belongs in the other thread..

Yes; they also considered weapons which could give the enemy bad breath, or make them fart uncontrollably. Obviously, these were just proposals, there's very little in research findings that could point the way towards realizing any of them.
See the BBC news article here.

Well, I've always maintained the belief that if everyone got laid at least twice a day, the world would be a very peaceful place.

Didnt read the article, but sometimes love can start some atrocity and unexpected violence. The legendary stories of Laili-Mojnu, Shiri-Farhad and later some Karan Joahar and Mahesh Bhatt films even few Shakespear's tragedy can be accounted for that.
