I am sorry but based on the diagram this looks far from a beautiful stadium. I know the stadium originally is nice. But definitely not the top 5! I dont think it even beats our very own Zohur Ahmed stadium which is quite beautiful itself.
I hope it looks better than drawing once completed. Hope the outfield and pitch is better than our stadiums and the overhead panel is installed in all of the stands and not just half of it... looks a bit awkward

Why is everyone after us? During the 2011 world cup, India and Srilanka were in a worse situation compared to where we are! Chilax ICC and let BCB do their job. They never failed you before, so have some faith!

There are the scares that are required in South Asian countries. Now that it is a matter of Self Respect, the stadiums will be finished in record times and the World Twenty20 would happen here in BD itself

There are plenty of people in and outside of ICC who don't want to see BD host anything....don't be so sure BD can host it...at the end...I won't be surprised if SL, SA or AUS ends up take over..
Now last time it was safe as IND was also a co host but this time we are all alone

Yes there are people that never misses on opportunities like these... I am still confident about BCB pulling this through. I can't comment on likely political chaos that might occur. But BCB is perfectly capable of finishing all the work on time

Well, if Sylhet is not ready, we can choose Calcutta or Colombo as an alternate venue. In that case BD/SL or BD/India will co-host the event.

i think Coxs Bazar is the bigger issue here. They barely started the work there and there isnt much time left. For syllet, even with the condition we saw earlier this year isnt too bad. They just need to speed up a bit

I think we will be fine. We only need 3 stadiums, 2 of which are ready (Mirpur + Chittagong) and perhaps Khulna could be used as the 3rd option.
Need to shut up shop on Sylhet and Cox's Bazaar and resort to the contingency plan.

Khulna's problem lies with Hotel facility. The stadium is fine.

One problem after another, but this problem is less worse than others, why?
I think it was a tactical job done by Papon to come out to media so everything could be kick started early. As in Bangladesh nothing get's done until someone come's out and say's we are under pressure, we will lose xyz.. to make thing's happen and move. It was wise from Papon that he has spoken out while we have time to correct everything, one year is more than enough to complete everything if everyone does their jobs well.

If we end up losing our right to host for such a pathetic reason, there will be an uproar from the cricket public in Bangladesh for sure. Unfreakingbelievable.

This will be some serious injustice to Bangladesh fans if true.
This tournament is important for us because this is a good way to get some money, our players getting some limelight and also the home crowd factor is important if you want to do well in something in which we have failed miserably.
I pray that things get fixed pretty quickly. This is a huge matter, and if you dont get to host it now then we probably wont be hosting it in the next 16 years or so because ICC has pretty much decided which countries will be hosting the tourney next
