If NEwAgeBD is right, it will be nice to see how Naeem does with added responsibility at #3.
On the other hand if KaelKontho is right, its a very sad news for Naeem and his fans. In that case I don't know what else he need to do to get tback in the TEST team.
btw Naeem was under used... or almost not used at all with the ball. Considering he was initially selected in the national team as a bowler who can bat a bit.

Didn't new age once say that Ian Pont applied for the role as head coach?

I thought Naeem did well. He definitely needs to rotate the strike more but don't mind the innings at all. It really showed that he's got the mindset to play at this level. Let's see how he does on a tougher track in Mirpur. He's already had success at this ground against England.

Question is, will he be picked for the next test? Mahmudullah Riyad may replace him.

I know, that's why I'm saying that New Age seems to make things up a lot, like how Julien was calling for his salary back of something which he denied. And in the article itself, it get's dates and such mixed up, for example, it says that Naeem scored the 50 in the second ODI.

Great test player; may not have the best tech but have great temperament compare to other chagols in the team!!!! i always knew since his innings against End last yr but didnt get chance to prove it...but got the chance now and doing it really well but his calling has been poor. sick way to get out after doing all the hard work but well done nevertheless
Keep up the hard work!

Aight, he was pretty good. But if he wants to become a proper top order, he better figure out a way to run between the wickets! He's had trouble running with almost everyone.

well done today! Bad luck I'd say. Otherwise he had the temper to score a big innings...hope he does even better in the 2nd innings...to be honest, he's much better than that of the edge and khocha babas in the top order

Is it just me or is Nayeem begging for a chance at the top order? The guy knows how to survive for 100+ delivery (at least for now) how many our top 4 can pull that off.

Looked immovable today. Resisted some seriously good bowling from Castro and Bishoo. Had the chance to cement his place in the team by playing a match-saving knock but threw it all away himself. But for me he has done enough to prove he should be in the top order instead of guys like Mofees and Da Rock. He has the ability to grind the opposition bowlers into submission which no one else in the team has.

What a horrible way to get out, great innings, so patient, yet never missing an opportunity to score when the bad balls presented themselves.
I kept thinking one more over to go...one more over to go, and then, disaster.
Shame really, but he's shown enough in this innings to shame a lot of our other more celebrated batsmen.

The only batsman where word's didn't go through one ear and out the other. Great innings, sad dismissal, went to sleep knowing he will score a 50.
