Not sure about the balance of the team, I think it's a bit much playing with 9 batsmen....

And the question will be will that hurt bang when it's time to bowl? we'll just have to wait and see.

I think it's safe to say we are well on our way to winning this Test match. The kind of touch that Riyad and Abul are in, we will easily make something close to 600 before declaring. Abul will then carry the confidence into his bowling and the West Indies shall be crushed, to sawdust if I may add.

But, even with 9 batsmen, we cannot bat. Thank God for Abul and Riyad's performance today.

Riyad should try to retain strike in the beginning. If they can survive 3-4 overs, they can continue. But, Abul Hasan will likely have trouble with the moving new ball the first few overs.

This is also the highest score by a debutant number 10.

Please don't use "Bang" for Bangladesh. It is considered derogatory.

I thought he is the only debutant number 10 to score a century!

Abul Hasan's unbeaten 100 is the second Test century by a No.10 batsman on debut. The previous such effort was in 1902, by Australia's Reggie Duff, who was actually a frontline batsman who was held back due to a sticky wicket at the MCG.

I stand corrected. Reggie Duff was the first number 10 to score a century.

I think we should play 11 debutants or the rookies in next match, they seem to do much better than the veterans we have.

Abul must target Jason Gillespie's record, so that we don't have to hear about Gillespie's innings again!

COME ON, ABUL! 200!!!

I hope Abul can stay bit longer with Riyad...morning sessions ball will be moving and also they will be fast...lots of short pitch deliveries will also bothered them with seam...I am hoping these two can just stay there and play the ball to its merit.

You seem to forget that Stuart Broad scored a 169 against a mighty team like Pakistan

After the heartbreak in the first test, I have no expectation from this team. Clearly, Junaid and Shahriar has no business in being in the team. If the selectors use their brain and not their gut, they will kick out the deadweight named Shahadat from the team permanently. Nazmul is the ideal replacement for him, but we all know that he will not make it. If one player is responsible for the debacle, it is Junaid. If he does not drop those catches in the second inning, our target would have been less than 150. I was in favor of giving him another chance, but that was before these drops. He has to go.

Here is my team:
  1. Tamim Iqbal
  2. Naeem Islam
  3. Anamul Haque
  4. Shakib Al Hasan
  5. Mushfiqur Rahim
  6. Nasir Hossain
  7. Mahmudullah
  8. Sohag Gazi
  9. Elias Sunny
  10. Nazmul Hossain
  11. Rubel Hossain
Where is Abul in your team?

Luckily we played with 8 batsman. Riyad could come in at no 8 and add valuable runs.

It would appear that we played 7: The top 8 minus SN minus Nazza! plus Abul.
