First at the Stadium : December 1993. SAARC Championship (Forgot the exact name).
BD V Pak/SL A Team.
That tournament featured Bangladesh National team and the A teams from the rest 3.

First match on TV I can remember (not counting the ones when I was 6 months old) :
Asia Cup back in '88.

Nasif bhai, the match you are talking about, was it Qadir or Imran Khan who threw the apple ball ??

If we go into Tests...I've only seen one. The one in Fatullah against the Aussies! (Yes, the one where Nafees scored that famous century.)

First International match, India vs Australia, Test at Bangalore 08/09. It ended up being a draw.

First Bangladesh match, WC opener, Bangladesh vs India. Skipped classes, flew all the way from Bangalore just to attend this one match and the opening ceremony and flew back the next day. Chatted a bit with Tamim after the post match presentation as he was roaming around the boundary line and talking to the press.

First match on TV - sometimes during the early 90s. Maybe it was Sharjah cup. I clearly remember 96 WC but not the 92 WC. So maybe during 94-95. ODIs were something back then. The Lankans revolutionized the style of today's powerplay and slog hitting.

First Stadium match - 2010, BD vs Ind (SBNS)

Started watching cricket in 1992, first one on TV was Australia vs New Zealand, inaugural match of the World Cup.

First live game wasn't until 1998, in the ICC Champions Trophy, India vs Australia.

my first match on tv was when there was an Aussie, India, Zim tri series in Australia around 2003. My first match i went to was a test match between South Africa and Australia in Australia in 2008/9. That game was special to me because Matty Hayden was underfire to perform and during the last session he hit successive boundaries. But unfortunately he retired during that series

The first match i watched in Bangladesh was Day 1 of the Pakistan tour of Bangladesh in Mirpur at the beginning of this year. I was in utter dissapointment when Tamim, Nazim, Nasir, Mahmudullah all got out in the first session. Then i witnessed the magical partnership of Nafees and Shakib. (180 run partnership?) Was a fantastic day it was for me. Witnessed the rare occasion of Nafees in good form and saw the best of Shakib up close. And wow the Bengali crowd is so entertaining!

Between 1983 and 1989, I did not miss a single international cricket match in Dhaka.
Curious as to whether you were rooting for Pakistan who was *your* team back then. Did most Bangladeshis root for Pakistan in those days? I would imagine patriotic fervor amongst East Pakistanis was no less than our co-nationals in the west given the integral role many Bangalis played in the creation of Pakistan as well as military service thereafter.

1st live TV match watching began with the Reliance World cup though I am pretty sure I saw the Asia Cup matches before that.
1st live BD match - Test against Pakistan in 1997 I'm thinking? Could be 1999

My first experience of win by Bangladesh Cricket team in any international match is also my only experience of win out of all official international matches I have watched from the stadium. Which by the way is only win by Bangladesh against that particular opposition ?

Seen only one day of international cricket - last day of an India-SL test in Bombay in 1997. It was cloudy and the match ended early as a draw.

Have occasionally watched first class cricket (usually till tea on Saturdays). Three years ago Sachin Tendulkar came to Chennai for a Ranji match. Took my wife and four year old son too, as a rare opportunity to peacefully watch him bat. Instead saw Wasim Jaffer play forward defense the whole day. Tendulkar came to bat the next day and scored a hundred. But Jaffer also completed a triple century next day, so being able to watch part of it is a rare thing.

I think I remember watching bits and pieces of 1999 wc on tv.

When I lived in South Africa, I remember watching BD u19 play against W.I u19 at the stadium in S.A. I don't exactly remember how old I was, I think I was around 4ish . I remember sitting there the night before making BD flags with Abbu. I have pictures of that game- the players. But I have no idea who some of those players are. I shall scan them when I get time and post them here. I'm sure you'll all be able to name some of them at least =P. around about the same time, so when I was 4ish I remember going to centurian stadium and watching SA vs W.I I believe. GAHH MY MEMORY IS HORRIBLE!

^^ Thank God at least you didnt say that you were two and you clearly remember Al Shahriar Rokon waiving his bat at you after playing a glorious cover drive.

Please upload some of those pictures for us.
It was the plate final between BD and WI and we won the match.
That was a good U19 team we had and a very good WI U19 to beat.
Our Opi, Hannan Sarkar, Rokon V their Gayle, Sarwan and Samuels.
