thats strange...i'm thrilled but not so much. i mean come on this SA Academy team is obviously fairly weak...if not in skill at least in mindset. our team here is basically an A team, OK maybe a bit weaker than our A team.

nonetheless, its impressive. i'd say its just as impressive as our win over Derbyshire couplw weeks ago. to bowl out a side for 77 when they piled on 374 the previous innings with a 167 run lead is pretty impressive.

i just hope robin (and zia) have some pace...robin seem's to be around 6 feet tall but lanky like talha.

While the win is great and is indeed gratifying.. we should stop calling every new wins by the junior or A team sides historic, unprecedented, unbelievably outstanding etc etc. etc.. Because, it sounds like we have overused and lowerd the bar of what is historic these days. I mean, technically a win against Algeria can be historic as we have never won against them before and Algeria never plays cricket...

After Junior sides regularly beat England/Australia like teams and National team beat Australia/India/Srilanka/South Africa.... there arent any more history making wins unless we win a series/tournaments/cups against major oppositions or dismiss them in less than 10 runs.. I think thats fair enough..

You talk like our team is in the International arena for 50+ years.

When a baby starts starring at its parent that is a historic moment for the parents (may not be for others), grabing his dad's hand that is a historic moment, calling "maa" is a historic moment, taking first step, Graduating highschool, getting driving license, getting first paycheck and sharing with parents etc. You get the drift.

We (BD cricket) have plenty of historic moments to come in near future. We are about to start jogging.

By the way, the win that Mijan bhai is calling a historic one...all I want to say is that: this is a BIG fluke. Bowling out a team for 77 when they're chasing 80 only means that the other team was being too joyful, and thought they won already. Perfect example of complacency.

I'm not taking anything away from the team. Congrats to them for the big win.

I think..there is a difference between what is a milestone and what is a historic moment..We have been playing competitive ODI for a long time,, for what? 20 years or more? Our junior team has been beating other Test team teams for a long time as well,, Beating England 11 times in a row, Nothing new ( other than never winning against India,,). They are milestones,, but not historic. Historic moments was when we won ICC trophy in 1997 with the Akram heroics, we beat Wasim Akram's Pakistan in world cups , We beat Australia with vengence, Tamim crushing India,,,, but it was not historic when we won the against Kenya or we beat Zimbabwe or even beat Srilanka in Bogra,, At that time we got used to winning every now and then..they were memorable wins but not the same stature as the ones that brought the crowd to the streets ( other than Dana cup/Gothia cup). Certainly semantics,,,, certainly preferences and expectations.. I personally dont think a win by our A team against a SA team is anything less than joyous but it doesnt deliver the same excitement as Ashraful scoring his century against the Srilankans or slapping Mandira Bedi a Tamim/Saqib/Mushfique doze... Perhaps, I expect more from a team that has players who played more than 100 ODI games and been around more than 7-8 years..Or perhaps I dont just get it..

c) Booking opponents within 25 overs in any innings.

There is no astrick (declaration) beside this match. 20 wickets.

I am thrilled with this win.
It was a thrilling win indeed!!

Historic ?? Can't relate
