here's another one, I can't compile it exactly, but almost like this,

"Enamul Haque Jr., shay junior holay ki hobay kaam ta aaj senoir-er moto korechay"

joytu K. Box Mridha!

:P:P

I put this in another thread (Enamul MOM). I think this would be appropriate here:

Growing up listening to Mridha this is what I dreamed up:

I think Khoda Box Mridha would say, " Rafiq abong Bashar majh math dia shooondor adan-prodan er madhdhome durveddo rok-khon-bohu tochnoch kore duke porechen. Rokh-khon bhager kheloar ra tader jadukory paer madokotai mohito. Hotat korey Rafiq hochot kheye shobuj ghasher gaaleechai poray jawar purbo muhurte toka diye bolta thele dilen penaly boxer mathai ekhon porjont kichuta mlan Enamul Hoq er kache. Ball ta peye Enamul jeno Kumbhokorner moto jege uthlen. Tar chokh diye jeno Agun jhore porlo. Jokhon monay hochchilo ekhoni defender ra ball take chinia nite shokh-khom hoben tokhoni Enamul oshadharon dokhkhotai baam payer bakano shotay baar er knoa gheshe jaaler moddhe ball takay pathia dilen. Goalkeeper murtir moto shoodhoo cheye chey dekhlen. Taar kichui korar chilona. Jokhon shob baati nivu nivu korchilo tokhon Enamul jeno shurjo hoye uthlen"

He is not a poet, he is a joke. What he says is anything but poetry. I thought the way he commentated, it just puts down the importance of the event with his unimaginative tasteless jokes. Some people might like his comms ("jokes") but I find it extremely annoying.

I found this one very funny. It was made by Jafarulla Sarafot during the match btw Abahani and Victoria (1997 Damal Summer Cricket final).
Partho of Abahi scored a hundred of 60-70 balls.

So when he hit another four, Sharafat said "Dhongso joggey motto ek boddho unmad."

The comments about Nkala and Hondo were racist, condescending and unsavoury. How would we like it if Australian commentators called bashar a 'non-washer' and mashrafee 'very much a brownee'?

Khoda Box, and his sidekick Sharafot, are like the golden years of of cricket itself - poetic, plodding, elitist, racist at times, grandiose, larger than life. When you listen to their commentary, you don't listen for whether the ball pitched outside the off and swung in sharply and would it have missed the stumps or not, you listen for the sounds, smells, sights and emotions of cricket. He reminds us of a bygone time, when we had 5 days to sit and listen to a radio crackling away - albeit in Bangla.

I know that was a bunch of BS to some and I don't condone his annoying comments, but I can appreciate him for what he represents.
