Expectations were so low, he has already surpassed it tbh. Lets see how he does tomorrow.
If he can keep one end tight with his bowling, I guess not terrible.

I am confident he will do what Meth is doing for Zim. Not a lot of pace but can swing the ball. He should be the first change bowler without quetion.

Can't comment on his batting as he was picked as a bowler. It's sad that a few overs in a couple of ODIs and T20s was all it took for him to get picked for the Test squad when Mushy doesn't even trust him to bowl better than Shahadat in ODIs.

he scored a sensational century in BCL not many months ago. He was hitting the spinners all over the ground. Next day he got famous after PA published his interview.

Right, then he went back to scoring ducks in international matches.

Agreed. He's picked as a bowling allrounder for this match so while it would be great if he hit a 30-40, I want to see what he has to offer as a bowler.

Not a good time to discuss about Zia,still I am discussing as I am a bit disgusted. Why Zia should be selected as a test bowler? Kamrul Islam,Dollar,Al Amin all are proven better bowler than Zia. Even Farhad Reza is better bowler than Zia. Farhad is better Allrounder in longer format than Zia. Then why Zia was selected as a bowler? Probably our selectors have seen good bowler in Zia. I hope their dream comes true. Otherwise its a dumb selection.

Zia's main responsibility for tomorrow should be hang in there and give support to Nasir. I don't care how much he scores but he must show some resilience.

I think he'll do good with bowling. In SL, he was economical.

I would take the opposite approach. I think Zia should play his aggressive role, similar to his ?BCL batting and give us whatever "extra" runs we can get. His defense looked shady earlier today. I don't expect the next 4 bowlers to bat responsibly that should have been done by batsmen.

Another quick +60 to 80 is probably the best option. And I think it can be achieved better if we take an aggressive approach than a defensive approach. i think if we play defensivly the rest of the players will be out regardless but our total score will suffer.

Zia should try to not get out as long as Nasir is there. Then he should launch. A total of 400+ will be super, but anything over 360 will be good. This pitch will help our spinners a lot more and if we learn to catch, we could get them in trouble.

So selector ra ki paper pore or paper interview publish kora dekhe selection kore? na publisher der KFC treat er upure depend kore!!! Ki jala..playar ra KFC kawaei...publisher ra KFC Kawaei...notun jamai babura biriyani dawat dei...Selector der to heavy job....

I am not sure now how he will do in test but I am hoping he will support Nasir...on the hand Nasir really have to be careful, he was sometimes playing too many shots...for Zia I doubt he will get anything out of close eye slogging rather he should use this opportunity to play a good innings...

Nasir is an experienced and a genuine batsman. Zia on the other hand was picked to bowl. So, in other words, Zia is a tail ender. When a genuine batsman is batting with a tail ender, it is expected that the tail ender will let the genuine batsman face most of the deliveries.

Zia as we all know is a hit or miss type batsman. If he gets out trying to be adventurous, Nasir and the team will be under tremendous pressure. 330 will become a stiff Target then. Zia's Aggressive batting will be needed if Nasir departs early. But to be honest, I hate aggressive batting in a test match..

I'm actually quite surprised he wasn't out against a new ball. Don't expect much from him with either bat or ball. I think he will leave the Test team as quick as he came into it. I hope he gives support to Nasir tomorrow and then have a go at the bowlers if Nasir is out before him.

Zia should try to bat as beautifully as he bowls.

Im actually not fussed that Zia was selected. I see him as a bowler only and i think if he bowls well then he can possibly be able to take wickets on this surface. He does bowl in the right areas. He is a wildcard and i love wildcards. I see his batting as a bonus only. But yes could've gone with Shafiul as he does get real good swing at times

zia should try to hang in there, and get set. when he gets set, if he gets a ball in the zone should dispatch it.

Al-Amin, Dolar, Babu, Kamrul, Heck even Forhad would have made more sense..but that does not mean Zia wont be effective, lets see how he does.
