It's actually UK, set in colonial Trinidad. VS Naipaul was Trini but moved to the UK. His works are unique and are considered the best in terms of satire associated with colonial Caribbean. Naipaul won the Nobel prize for literature in 2001

Haha. Every now and again, I would pass it while browsing through the book aisle in my college's library...picking it up and opening it to a random page, reading a random paragraph. And put it back to rest. It's like wine. Fine wine. OR RUM. Take a sip and put the bottle back...let it age.
