BDFlag A friendly cricket match

A friendly cricket match, among farmers of the remote Char Puliamari, took place at a paddy field after the harvest in the region was complete.
Organised by Channel i director and news editor Shykh Siraj, the Farmers World Cup was between a symbolic 'Bangladesh and Australia' teams with the home team coming up trumps by 52 runs.
The enthusiasm, in the cold winter breeze, was a sight to behold, a large of women also turning up to see their favourite sport.
Farmers aged between 50 and 80 years practiced under a coach for a few days prior to the game as they were to play cricket for the first time in their lives.
Man-of-the-match Nurul Amin received a goat as his trophy while the rest received medals and a cheque each.

Organizers did a great job to put a smile on those people who find it rare.
A heart filling story.

Thankj you dear Mo bro for this news and the pics with your own good funny captions! I am so thrilled at this match and the enthusiasm shown in the body language in these old timers - supa playaz, especailly chacha with those sweeps and that bitch of a a sq. cut by Paddy Daddy Ustaad Sher-e Bangla!! The fileder who is high fiving Australia is also fielding slip in the first pic looking very very super intense! The reverse sweeping chacha is looking very much like a John Mcenroe thjere!!

Who were their coaches? We need to talk to these guys!

Only thing I didn't like is why does chacha have to score the most runs and be the Kochi Daab/coconut Boy/ Gamcha boy/Drinks Carrier all at the same time! That is chacha abuse!!Q
