Default We want Basher, Shariyar and Aftab to score as well

In the group matches the contribution of these three is poor. A strong batting side can only win ODI perfectly. We have that line up. But the proper use of the talents is what we are missing. In all three group matches we batted last irrespective of toss. Are our players ready to score 250+ in all matches if they are sent to bat?

250+ may seem to be an easy target, but on a bad day, even SA may find it difficult to get there. So lets not include the idea of ALL the matches. May be our players have the ability to corss 250 in a few matches, and they have done that in the past too. The question is, would they be able to do that in this tourney? And the answer is, only time will tell.

After reading some interesting articles in WC 2007 special edition of the Prothom Alo, I became more optimistic about our team. Getting breakthrough in first few overs shoudl be teh target of Mash and Rasel or the other oepner (whoever), Tamim and Shariyar should take strokes to raise the RR above 7 or more in first few overs so that the opponent get lost in the begining. Later was what Sri Lanka did under Whatmore to win a Cup. Bangladesh may play a vital role to determice who will be the Semi Finalists this time.

I predict Aftab will get at least one big score in the remaining matches. We have to keep faith in our batting lineup as there is no one better.

We still have enough matches & there's no need to change the squad of their failing ;

We are not here to win the cup anyway .
