To be fair, all our players averages take a hit once you take out the minnows. Only Gazi, surprisingly, has an average in the 20's. Even Shakib has an avg of a 34.51 compared to his overall career stat of 29.6. The only others that have an average in the 30's besides Shakib and Razzak is Rubel.
Our player's approach is the problem. They just don't attack with variations or even stay disciplined. Only Shakib out of all our bowlers has solid temperament although doesn't have much variations, hence his high number of 5fers. The rest give at least 1 or 2 boundary balls an over which will give you a hard time getting wickets. They rely on batsmen's mistakes rather than attacking which will always end up being a problem against quality Test level teams.

I think we are over-analyzing the averages of our bowlers. Razzak did get over 100 wickets at a reasonable rate against the top sides. Even the great bowlers did get a lot of wickets and great batters piled on the runs against "weaker" teams during the course of their careers. This should not be seen as less of an achievement. It all adds to the overall stats. And, thats how the record works. Selective analysis is an elitist approach, in my mind.
And, about the variations, again, we are putting too much into it. Shakib as a SLA has a lethal arm ball and he can turn the ball, too. That makes him more than threatening. If he maintains discipline and tight line and length he will get buckets load of wickets. As successful as he has been I still think Shakib could tighten up his bowling by cutting out that pressure releasing boundary ball per over. He does tend to bowl short and wide regularly...like Lalla´s one down the leg. If he sticks to the basics diligently he will -inshaallah- end up as one of the greats.

Razzak was a gone case ever since he changed the bowling action. Played 4 years to many in the national team, imo. He's doing these little c**k up day in day out, even from jamie siddons era. Makes me vomit everytime i see this old men in the field.

Age isn't the problem. But Lala's body language looks very pathetic shows his disbelief in himself.

Razzak's body language n running between the wicket is unacceptable in any level. Irony of fate is that he will do it again n willbe reselected. There is no prevention approach. Please kew razzak re ghumm koren..

Complacency Razzaks biggest issue. And also thinks, the place in the team is his.
31 years old, over 150 ODI's. Yet sometimes the way he keeps bowling short and wide in critical situations you gotta question his thinking and commitment. And its one thing if you are hit, and then you try to adjust. Razzak will repeat the same mistake yet again, sometimes even in the next delivery. Its as if he doesnt care. Another way to judge his intelligence is how he bats. He's no better than a number 11 despite his capability, and will somehow find a way to throw his wicket.
He needs to be shown the door if he doesnt improve. You cant live off your past achievements. This team must have eleven individuals with their heads tuned towards one direction. There musnt be anyone who would pull the team back. If someone has a weakness or deficiency, he must be able to work hard to minimize impact of that, and contribute in other areas. Razzak lets the team down in all three departments.
Really hope he gets back to reality. Him in form will certainly take some weight off Shakib.

Take some weight off?
In international cricket the weight is never off.
IF<<<<< Razzak gets back in form then our bowling just MAY POTENTIALLY turn out effective with Shakib on the side. Both performing at 100%. Razzak coming back in form doesn't mean Shakib has to tone down his attack.

Not necessarily tone down but adjust to containment mode if runs are leaking at the other end. Shakib does best in attack mode so having an underperforming Raz effects his efficacy.

As you have said, he just does NOT care at all - look at his body language, so uninspiring, thus, so painful to watch.
He should be given a rest to get his form and attitude back...

I know Razzak's form is not good lately but his body language was ALWAYS like this even when he was in top form. He always looked lazy to me but that does not mean he's lazy. We all are questioning the body language today because of his form. His attitude will not bring his form back. When he gets his form back (hopefully on 3/16th In sha Allah) he'll still be the lazy guy as now...
Not that I am comparing but another Lazy Guy was Inzamam...but what a wonderful batsman he was. When he was going through his toughest time, everybody questioned about his laziness...so weird...as if he never had that issue before...

I think in terms of uninspiring attitude Mahmudullah beats everyone. He carries a dampening attitude around him.

I think Shamim has cursed Razzak by calling him an Elder Statesman so many times.
As a Test spinner I think his career has ended but might have a few more matches until Bangladesh try to put in other spinners to replace him.
Problem with Razzak I feel if that he is not a thinking cricketer. He usually balls a few good deliveries in an over only to spoil by a poor delivery which ends up outside the boundary.

Still not too late. Can take inspiration from his former colleague Mohammad Rafique who was getting better and better in his mid 30's. But Rafique was willing to learn and improve. Does Razzak have the same desire, thats the question.
Mahmudullah is a very calm, laid back character, very quiet, very timid, quite a gentleman. Maybe we shouldnt confuse this softer side of a player with uninspiring attitude. His is having a poor spell with the bat. But he's bowling and fielding pretty well.

Is Razzak really a lazy fielder or he is suffering from old age related problems like arthritis?

Razzak's main problem is that he really doesn't seem to have a backup plan. He's not really a thinking cricketer like Shakib. It's not that Shakib is a magician type spinner like Narine and Mendis but he's a smart player who adjusts his plan very well. Razzak has a plan but as soon as the batsmen go after him, you see he doesn't have much of an answer.

^ there's one more thing that makes Shakib our only lethal world-class spinner and sets him apart from our other left arm spinners. I am talking about Shakib's ability to turn the bowl and extract bounce. All our other left arm spinners arent spinners at all as they cant even spin the ball.

If he is in the side he must be bowled between 7-14 and thats it in t20. He should never be allowed to bowl in the last 4overs

Another fabulous performance from our favorite twice-busted dart thrower. Conceding 10 runs per over against the mighty Irish, who scored at 6.75 runs per over, is an incredible achievement in the alternate universe where Mushfiq's script was written, and where the commandment of "the winning combination" will continue to keep this wily veteran in the team. Nostrilamous Rex, strike bowler, heavy hitter and match winning fielder

His last over ruined his figure. 18 runs in that over. He was economical in his first 2. Conceded only one 4.

Razzak is under tremendous pressure. .thats why its impacting on his performance. Plus senile decay could be a reason.
