Leaving out Farhad Reza is a huge mistake. As an alrounder he is ideal for ODI, sort of like Shahid Afridi for us. Leaving out Riyad is also a mistake. These 2 played a heck of an innings in the practice match.
For some reason these selectors always seem to mess up for actual match. They learn as we go---after the match that is. Chor palale buddhi bare....So whats the point having selectors?
I dont know what Siddons doing also, either he is letting all this happen, he might be little confused as well? Or just following the order?
Can we have some sane and impartial smart people as our selectors? I guess there is no angel in earth.

I remember during the T20 world cup fans here at BC screaming like anything to give Junaed a shot. He was given a shot alright, in the last match when it was all over. But Junaed showed it. Same will happen to Farhad Reza, he will be given chnace on the 3rd ODI and he will show the selectors how clueless the selectors are.

I was so hoping that FARHAD Reza could have had a chance. Sakib does not deserve his place here.

Whats the deal with Rokibul? To me he looks more the Mehrab Jr. More suitable for test than ODI. Waste of a spot whern you know you have Riyad and Farhad Reza.

Isnt it geting really commical that Ash saying the batsmen did not score enough runs, hence the failure during each and every other post match media conference? Does it mean he is not a batsman? Maybe captain dont need to do anything, just selecting teams and explain why a player was dropped and added.

we might not be winning anything lately, but the selectors surely keeping us all excited and entertained with their comical act. ashraful and siddon's comments and actions are added bonus. we might as well just realx and enjoy this drama.

Hey ... be nice to the selectors ... I mean, they are 'young,' and will take some time to adjust. If we keep asking for their heads after every wrong decision, how can we give them a chance to be consistent?

I agree here. BD will never win a match against SA, because this team is 100 times stronger in the mental and physical aspects of the game of cricket. BD is now learning.
they panic and crack up under pressure like what I saw happened to England recently against NZ.
SA will never allow them to reconstruct another win, they can dream all they can, but it will never happen.
Not one BD player can be compared to a SA player, so how can they win?

Have you realized why Rafique kept promoting Rubel as his replecement for tests? specially when we have a proven talent and permormer in Enam Jr. in hand? Remember what he said about Jr? He said for NZ "another" spinner was sent, by not mentioning Enam's name!

There is a difference. Atleast Mehrab Jr. bowl, Rokibul cannot even do that. I don't understand their fasination with Rokibul in ODI team.

Yes I realise that but I thought the selectors have a beef with Rafique. If not before then now (after his outburst). Now why would they consider Rubel (debut) and dish Enam Jr?

Looks like the Bangladesh cricket board is giving up even before the match starts. I'm all for developing good players who are able to step in when the regulars can't go, but I don't understand dropping Shahadat and Zunaed now. Plus with new guys like Rokibul and Dhiman Ghosh we have too many new players who have to compete against a far superior team. The odds are stacked up against us even more now.

Exactly ... why moan and whine about this team before we see their performance?

Until we start winning regularly, these kind of wins will be considered ঝড়ে বক, and all of the sensible negative comments will remain valid.

moan and whine started based on after the team's lack performance not before the team's performance. We have already seen their performance... thats the problem. We still see the same un balanced team like 1st ODI. Front Loaded non performing too many batsman... back loaded too many non performing bowler... the all rounder slots ate vanished.
Thats why you see all those moan and whine.

They are just making sure everyone fails and the team keep losing. Eventually the selectors can say: look tigerfans we tried 'em all, including Mosharraf Rubel, endorsed by Rafique (also the highest wicket taker in NCL). Since they all failed, we will field the following group in WC 2011:
1. Atahar Ali Khan (allrounder)
2. Gazi Ashraf Hossein Lipu (allrounder)
3. Jamie Siddons (wicketkeeper)
4. CEO from Warid Telecom (Vice Captain)
5. CEO from Grameen (Captain)
6. Rafiqul Islam (bastman)
7. Akram Khan (batsman)
8. Naimur Rahman Durjoy (allrounder)
9. Shameem Choudhury (bowler cum commentator)
10. Enamul Haque Moni (bowler cum umpire)
11. Arun Lal (foreign recruit, allrounder)
12. Golden Boy: Waterboy
13. Ashraful Matin: Media Manager
14. Ashraful Matin: Batting Coach
15. Niaz Morshed: Brain Coach
