Default Cricket videos

Hi

I have a collection of cricket videos worth 5.44 GB.
So I have set up a sebserver in my home comp and put some of the videos(few) in there. This is test. If it works out ok, and if I have enough time I will put my whole collection of videos in there, which also includes some of the videos I downloaded from banglacricket.

Most of the videos are not of Bangladesh Cricket. Most of them I got from kaaza and other forums.

Let me know if it works. How is the download speed and stuff like that. If things goes Ok. I will put all my collection there.

I am not much of a web-designer (as you would see : ) ), but maybe I will work on it.

ps, can anyone suggest a good basic webdesining software?
I don't like frontpage 2003.

Thanks Blah. Just have Kumble's 10 wicket haul against Pakistan downloaded. Links are working fine with me. Good work! Please keep it up.

Dreamweaver is a good pick and it's user friendly too.
But can we call it a "basic" software?
I guess, No.

With my 7907 kbps dowmload speed, it should take around 2 second to download 1MB size file.

I downloaded the 23,597 kb 12:50 minutes video of 1992 World Cup Cricket Final. It took me 10 Minutes 45 Second to download the file. So, spedd was considerably slow.

It would be better if you create torrent file. That way p2p sharing will reduce your bandwidth requirement and people can still get the file even if your computer/server is off (after few people have finished their downloads). If you need help creating torrent file, u2u me.

I have atleast 30 people downloading videos right now.
I didn't realize it would be so much stress on my connection.
On my 5 mbit cable connection, my upload speed is only 385kb.

That's way too little speed for so many people to download.

I will have to think of another way.

Using torrent p2p network your bandwidth use can be optimized even with 1000 downloads

Thats the best way out there.

I know how to make torrent file. Thanks for the suggestion.
I will try to do it when I get some time.

But in order for my torrent files to work I will have to keep upload online all the time, assuming so will everyone else who will download. Not very reliable for such a small group.

Once your file has been seeded for enough time, and few people has the full version of it, you don't have to seed it all the time. Use Desitorrents torrent server and Azureus bittorrent client. That will reduce your torrent headaches a lot.

I think one of the reasons it was hoggin the connection was that most people are using some kind of download manager. Which preety much takes up most of the bandwidth.

Anyways I have put up torrent file. I have never done that before, but I have the general idea, so it should work.

same addie.
only torrent files.

And pls don't use any download manager on this.

I will put up some files later.

============================

ok screwed up with the torrent files.
working on it.
server down.

What tracker server are you using? Are you acting yourself as a tracker? That won't be good, as when your server is off none of the clients will work. Thats why I suggested to use Desitorrent server (their tracker), it will be active all the time. Desitorrent has a dedicated forum for cricket videos. You can post your torrent there. Their tracker address is:
http://tracker.desitorrents.com:6969/announce

http://www.desitorrents.com/forums/faq.php has info on their tracker and how to post your torrent.

I wonder if you have BD v India 2 ODI (which bd won). If you have that one why don't put it in multimedia section of Bangla Cricket since everyone has been waiting for a log time.
