Thanks coach Ian for listening to our inputs. If you could let us know who you ended up taking to Essex, that would be great too.

"Good" is a relative term that only professionals can assess applying the criteria you are looking for.
And you think, BCB will recommend the best

Thank you, you touched the pinch nerve.

1. Why not? If not, then there is something between BCB and that individual.
2. It is good that Ian wants our point of views, but as a coach, he has better knowledge and access to information about the player(s) he is looking for.
3. You think that one toporder batsman (When we are starving for one and BCB is no way to release the best batsman without any formal agreement with Ian or his club) can play overseas without BCB's consent and then come back to BD and play in a higher level? I doubt it.

I would recommend players like Rajin Saleh, Javed Omar, Dickens, Mehrab Hossain and Jr, Shahariar Hossain. I'd also recommend players that only played a handful of INT matches and now out of team for various reasons, such as Jahirul Islam, Hom, Dhiman Gosh, Dollar Mahmud (They would be better hire TBH)

When I look at some of these recommendation from the other members, I see lot of favoritism, lota "love" involved in those selection. Why would you want to send someone like Anamul or Roman? I wouldn't send any of the upcoming players. And also I see Anamul's name a lot in the forum these days. People are just throwing his name around at everything.

From the players I mentioned before I know that Jahurul Islam speaks English very well.

Dhiman Ghosh might actually be a great choice for this opportunity. He should almost exclusively now be in contention for national selection. Going over to Essex and sharpening his batting in terms of playing swinging deliveries can only add more to his repertoire. Who knows, he could probably pick up some wicketkeeping skills too.

Anamul Haque Bejoy, Mominul Haque, Dhiman Ghosh, Asif Ahmed Ratul, are among the top.

Anamul and Mominul toured England, though I'm not sure if they're decent English speakers.

Lets see...I dunno, may be because he's a talented, young, top order batsman?

2. Anamul Haque (http://www.espncricinfo.com/ci/conte...er/380354.html)
3. Mominul Haque (http://www.espncricinfo.com/ci/conte...er/373696.html)

Let's see who they are....

Asif is 19 years 13 days old as of today. He is the most consistent of the three and plays at no 3 or no 4. He has played 15 FC matches averaging 43.11. He has 3 hundreds and 5 fifties to his name. He has been under radar for last 2/3 years and so far he seems to follow the right path.

Anamul is 19 runs 14 days old as of today. He has huge potential to partner Tamim in the opening slot in next 2/3 years. He has played 17 FC matches averaging 37.34 and has 4 hundreds and 4 fifties to his name.

Mominul is 20 years 92 days old as of today. He is another good potential but a bit inconsistent. He has scored 1 hundred and 4 fifties in the 14 FC matches he played so far.
Do you expect these guys to play in a ameature league?? I would rather want them to play BPL and DPL and NCL in BD.

Asif Ahmed is the most appropriate choice. It is not about the league, it is about learning experience and developing your skill as a cricket player.

Bro, i rate highly any amateur league in UK, Aus, SA than DPL, BPL. As Ian also mentioned, many international players played at this level to adopt and understand the condition better. To me, if any of these players can play 2-3 months in UK that wont hamper his development but only improve.

This is an amature club so amature once in a blue moon type players are best suited. So my candidate is Ashraful.

Can't really agree. Enamul Huq is playing such leagues ... No improvement yet. Even Ashraful played ... No improvement ... Even English county experienced players struggle to adjust to int level... My friend ... It's your misconception of England and cricket.

You know everything written in Arabic, isn't Quran...some may even be Arabic choti shahitto. ... so pl don't start kissing every paper printed in Arabic language. Neither start admiring every level of cricket in England.

Ian is looking for "terrific", "young", "top order" batsman. Dhiman, Shabbir, Rajin, Mehrab, Ashraful and many other names does not even match those words a bit.

Players like Dhiman and Jahirul will be under the rader so they needs to stay in the country rather than going away.
By "terrific" i understand someone with decent hitting qualities.

Ian is the player you are looking for will play both limited and long format games?

if its only for longer format, I would highly recommend Farhad Hossain. A consistent top order batsman with great skills. He is pretty young at 24 years old.
if its for multiple formats, than Asif Ahmed, Anamul Huq. You can also consider Shuvagata Hom as he is known for his aggressive nature against seamers which I think will be useful in English conditions.
