So two scenarios:
i) A win or a draw in the last match against SL will put us through to SFs regardless of the result of Pak vs Bhu.
ii) Even a loss wouldn't harm if Pak fails to win against Bhu. And even if they win, the goal difference bettwen BD vs SL and the goal difference between Pak vs Bhu shouldn't add up to more than 2. If it does, we are out.
But as Pak is very likely to win against Bhu by at least a 2 goal margin, we just cannot allow us to get beaten by SL. AT LEAST a draw.

The bonus for us is that the PAK match will be over before we start, so we know what result we need to go through.

agreed.
Just came back from Dhaka Stadium.
umm! what can I say....better not saying anything.
But still at the end ...BD National Team is playing and when the entire stadium stood up while playing the national anthem feels so good! Better luck in next match against SL.

I just learnt that this is Pakistan's best result against Bangladesh in a SAFF tournament. Yes they lost every single match before.

I remember Pak beating Bangladesh 1-0 once before.. Anyways Bangladesh should win against Pakistan with a big margin everytime, afterall football is stil the second most popular game back home. Also, the local clubs like Abahani and Mohammedan spends much more money than any Pakistani Club..

Didn't they win once in the late '80's? That was considered a huge upset back then.

Hmm I guess NTV is a fail then. But they did specifically say "in SAFF Championship" maybe they beat us in some other tournament.

We should have won the SAFF cup long before we eventually did. We had the individual brilliance back in the eighties and early nineties, but never clicked as a team on a big occasion.

Paki beat Bhutan by 6-0. So at least draw requires for BD to go through. Let see if our national footballers can take off the pressure.
