Tamim injured and we should not rush him with Afghanistan series if he's not fully recovered. It's time give openers like Anamul, Shamsur, Liton etc another chance to prove themselves.

If I could I would reduce it to a T20I tourney and invite at least one or 2 teams, IRE/SCOT/DUTCH and one of the elites available (Srilanka).

Tamim will be fine... need to field the same side we are planning to field against England LOI team. Only thing we can do is make a spin paradise and rest some of the seamers. But again it should be a spin paradise for both England and Afghanistan.
Mosaddek is a must for this series. Would be a golden opportunity get him some int experience. Specially there are plans to play him against England. Maybe Shahriar Nafees and Liton too

Hoping to watch a good series, but could boil down to a one-sided Bangladesh victory. Fizz won't be there though ...

Nobody has time to watch a 100 over match nowadays unless it is a final or do-or-die match, even then also most canny spectator would not mind bunking 10-20 overs from each innings. Earlier there were eventual dead middle overs, and it has not changed much by the introduction of early Power Play.
I would rather enjoy a test match session by session, if the test starts on Thursday, it gives me plenty of time to follow and watch the almost 4 days worth of quality cricket.

Mominul deserved a chance here more than anamul or litton or anybody. Was 5th top high scorer with a very good SR. but then again that's not gonna happen as haturi doesn't really rate him highly.

MOsharraf Rubel recalled for national camp. Will play next 2 practice matches. According to Nannu, they are considering him for LOI side ahead. They are doubtful on Arafat's effectiveness after the fixed action. Great move I think. High time this domestic work horse who has performed so well in the BPLs get a chance! He can bat pretty well too! Scored 350 runs in this years DPL... so a handy lower order

not sure if its a good idea. BD might get reluctant after winning against minnows and lose badly against in form england.

i am always up for any consistent performer. age is just a number, our selectors are doing great job by giving opportunity to players like mosharraf rubel, nafis, rokibul

Yes. I see this series as valuable match Practice. Remember The Afghans really beat the World Champions West Indies in the World Cup T20 not too long ago. They have a world class leg spinner as well as very capable seamers...they can be a very dangerous side. Good decision by BCB before hading into the England series. Bangladesh is very rusty at the moment(no cricket for a while)

+1 Completely agree with this. Sort of a trial by fire lets say. No better way to practice than match practice.
The Afghan's will be looking to prove a point and will be aggressive, no doubt about it. Our boys need to use this opportunity to shape up. .
I am confident we will do well.

Batsmans needs to put their hands up, especially SS.
Bowling without Musta against Afghan still decent; Mash, Rubel, Shakib, Taskin, Al Amin, Rony and another spinner
