Yeah the lineup should be thus:

Tamim
Soumya (too talented to drop after just 1 failure)
Sabbir
Riyad
Mosaddek
Mushy
Shakib
Mashrafe
Taijul
Rubel
Taskin

Tried to fit Nasir in there but no room. Him as a substitute fielder helps tho.

Fielding or field placement was not up to the mark. Stop leacking singles, force them to play shots for runs.

Sabbir doesn't have the skill to play quality bowling. So no point putting him at no. 3. No. 7 is the slot for him.

Riad should be at no. 3 Mosaddek at 4

Tamim
Soumya
Riad
Mosaddek
Shakib
Mushy
Sabbir
Mash
Taijul
Taskin
Rubel

However, team management shouldn't get slack for playing Imrul instead because of a certain someone named Rashid Khan who is a quality leggie.

You probably have missed all the T20 games he has batted number 3. Now one might say T20 and ODI is different, but whenever he has batted he has shown signs he can bat 20 overs of T20 if given the chance.

His technique, footwork is very good. But most importantly he knows how to occupy crease, keep runs ticking.

His technique and footwork looks good but when there is a bit of turn or swing then he struggles. The thing about T20 is, he doesn't need to face any turn or seam movement in T20s.

He can definitely occupy the crease if he wants and is a good batsman in T20s, basically in ANY POSITION. But ODIs are a different ball game.

Well in T20 bowlers can also give their best in the four overs they get to bowl, so some might say the intensity is even higher.

You just have to go back to the game against Pakistan in T20 WC up against an on fire Aamir. Not just Aamir, he handled Irfan, Wahab wonderfully.

If you are worried about him struggling against spin or turn, then i really fear for the other batsmen.

This bloke is without a doubt one of the best timers of the ball. And he just doesnt seem to fear anyone, plays without any pressure.

If you see our next gen. Anamul is slow, poor footwork; Mominul cant rotate; Soumya places no value on wicket; Nasir is neither a hitter, nor an accumulator; Liton also yet to find identity. In a way Sabbir is a complete package-can do everything-take quick runs, rotate, hit fours, sixes (And all around the park). He's the future imo. Lets hope for the best.

Sabbir has the skill to play quality bowling. So put him at #3. It has already been tested.

Default Lessons learned from 2nd ODI

  • Never get complacent against lower ranked teams.
  • Always bring your A-game no matter who that opponent is.
  • That's how you dominate.
  • I don't know how pitch curating works, but forget about low scoring thrillers- prepare a batting track
  • At the end of the day, I will take Mosaddek's first ball wicket on debut as a take away from the second odi.

When you play against higher ranked teams you focus on "winning".
When you play against lower ranked teams you focus on "not losing."
That is the difference.

It is important to have minnow bashers drafted into the team whenever we play against minnows e.g Zia , Shahriar Nafees, Shafiul, etc. so that we don't encounter disasters like the 2nd ODI
