Thanks Zunaid bhai for the news. The tour to India is a very good news. Our schedule was really thin and we needed another tour badly. Hopefully we get to play Test matches as well. No doubt it'll be a very tough tour but it should be a very good learning experience for our players.

Also I was thinking today about when we're going to hire an Academy coach. It's good they're hiring a full coaching staff. The current youngster seemed to have benefited a lot from Ross Turner. It's really important to have a full structure in place.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) president Mustafa Kamal has said he has received an assurance from the BCCI president N Srinivasan that India will host Bangladesh for a full tour later in the year, according to a BCB release sent out after an adjourned board meeting. Bangladesh haven't played a Test series in India since gaining Test status in 2000. They have, however, hosted India for a Test series on four occasions.

Edit: Oh okay, according to BCB release lol!...But still it's unlikely to be completely bogus. Sooner or later we're going to tour India and hand them their behind at their own home.

After our win against them in the Asia Cup, I wouldn't be surprised If India wanted to thrash us in a home series.

Bangladesh's loss for not playing against the mighty Pakistanis.

The worst he can do is pull out Pak guys from the BPL, which wouldn't be so bad considering the math fixing risks.

Mr Kamal seems to be more of a politician than an organizer - PCB k bhaloi ghol khawalao - ICC vote already ensured, BPL went live with Pak players dominating the foreign recruits etc. Now a stunt was needed while the Premier League is under some obvious threat. Diverting attention has been seen as his favourite ploy while getting busy in doing things that is right politically only in Bangladesh.

I'd, however, like if India tour really takes place this year.

Point to note: There was a comment published recently - BCB would look to organize other nations (even if they are assocciates) to play Bangladesh and keep our players in the playing conditions as our next FTP tour is not due before August. I'd humbly suggest this could be followed up in this thread as well.

i read a comment in the article which was quite interesting and could be correct.

The reason India didnt allow Bangladesh to tour India for the last 9 years is because they knew they wont make much money out off that tour. Not many people would show up and there wouldnt be that many sponsors for this series. BCCI is money hungry.

But the reason why India are letting Bangladesh tour now is because Indians want revenge from the loss they encountered in the Asia Cup. BCCI know people would come out to see Bangladesh getting thrashed after they were humiliated.

BCCI needed 5 years to figure that out? Its amazing! These kind of comments either be brilliant or the rest are just dumb as stone.

.
This excuse doesn't make any sense to me either. India are hosting NZ for a full series later this year. NZ don't have any iconic players to make this tour memorable or crowd pulling. Out of 4.4 million population, and cricket being the distant second or third party after Rugby, Footy, and others, at best few hundred thousand will watch the game on TV. We can get that much TV following from one neighborhood in Dhaka. Plus, Ind-Ban series can take multiple social, cultural rivalry while there is no such Ind-NZ bonds.

Its just BD tag. That's why BCCI is ignoring us.

I've heard BCCI only has 16 days free next season...not enough time for a full series which requires at last 25 days.

This series is not happening, BCCI won't postpone a series with NZ even though we'd prolly be more competitive in Indian conditions.
