He's improved a lot with his consistency in the shorter formats. Not only is he scoring consistently but he's also been more attacking. He needs to keep this form up against the Lankans.

Batted with a bad hamstring and was out to a 50/50 decision too. Hope he carries this form to the SL series.

Great innings, and respect for how he sacrificed his wicket. Real team guy. Go Mushy!

Honestly this man has improved leaps and bounds since those days when he used to come in at 6/7 and he just couldnt hit anything. Now he can hit boundaries at will, really great to see a player learn and improve. Hope he continues this progress and becomes even better!!

You have done well recently at t20 very well, I like you, like your hardwork. You have really won my heart today with this fantastic innings. Am so proud of your fighting (like a true Bengal Tiger) inning.

Bravo Mushy.

This is the date you have won my heart over and have become me favourite player. Your name going next to me 'favourite player' list.

Waiting for the highlights. He should not have sacrificed his wicket. In the end Chigumbura could not get the job done.

Mushy is now the second highest run-scorer in BPL history and the highest Bangladeshi run-scorer. Should definitely be the MoT if Sylhet reach the final.

Mushy v DG (best bowling line-up in the tournament)
3 matches
202 runs
Average: 101
Strike-rate: 154

Have to carry on when play for the nats team too.

Scored 900+ runs in 16 games in last DPl with an avg of 70+ and then did nothing in ODI apart from the game vs Ind in the asia cup. In fact his avg in ODI last yr is only 20 but with SR of 142

Scored heavily in NCL, but didn't do too well vs WI in test.

Then scored heavily again in BCL and now in BPl...Hope he keeps scoring vs SL too.

Don't care what they do in domestic cricket if they cannot produce at least 70% of that when play for BD coz thats what i care about the most, im sure we all do.

Your right Nadim. For some reason, Mushy and Riyad are monsters when it comes to domestics but aren't as productive when it comes to the national team. Last ODI series they did step up big so I'm sure its just a a matter of time before they take their games to the next level

Mushy averaged 37.71 in ODIs last year with a SR of 82. Don't know where you got your stats from. But yeah he got only one fifty and that 46* v India from nine innings last year which isn't good enough. We'd all like to see him convert his starts into bigger scores in the international arena especially when he's batting in the Top 4.

I'm kinda depressed by the fact that that we only played 9 ODIs last year. Even in Bashar and Rafique's days we used to play 15+ ODIs each year. Even this year we've only got Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe and New Zealand which I guess is 11 ODIs which is simply not enough. Shocking!

^ The numbers would have been different this year, if we managed to qualify for the ICC Champions Trophy. It sucks that this might be the last champions trophy and we don't get to play in it.

The key is to keep on winning matches. If we manage to do that, we'll get more matches. Already we're seeing India being interested in hosting us. Did this happen before? So we need to keep beating the stronger teams and we're bound to get more matches

Total bull crap captaincy by Mushy today. Doesn't pick Nazmul in the national XI, doesn't give him the ball in the Sylhet XI either. Why was Nazmul under-bowled? Sajidul for the final over, seriously? Ki ghorar dim ta korse tomar Chigumbura r Sajidul? Riyad full toss khelte pare na dekhe ki Ryan/Ariful der o gadha mone korso?

And Sajidul ahead of Nazmul? Seriously? Even some guy who leaves cricket for years, gets fat and barely makes it into a BPL team is relied upon more than Nazmul? This stupidity has to stop.

Waiting for the day Shakib comes back to captain Bangladesh. Mushy, jeta paro na sheta korte jayo na. Chupchap batting koro.

Feel sorry for Mushy......
Although he scored most runs 440 and top the list of most dismissals for wicket keeper with 17 dismissals, he failed to get the justified attention from stupid BPL-2 MOT adjudicators
Shakib listed 9th in both run scorer and wicket taker list

Shame BPL2 MOT adjudicators shame

Yeah - shame on BPL2.
I can't fathom why Shakib got that award.

Congratz Mushy on a great tournament

Deserved to be in the final alongside Shamsur and Nasir. I know a lot of people are saying Mushy should've got MOT but if Tendo took CK home in the final it would've/should've been him, I think the fact that Dhaka won tipped it in Shakib's favour.

As an individual player, Mushfiq is currently the one of the weakest links in the team. He is certainly not the best keeper Bangladesh currently have to offer (it's probably Sohan). His batting averages (Test 28.85, ODI 26.48) is the lowest among current bunch of regular batsmen in the natioanl team (not considering SN).

As a captain, he often turns out to be defensive when situation demands aggression.

At this point, he should be the last person to take his spot in the national team for granted.
