As shakib will only bat in first test match so we will have to take at least 2 specialist spinners..
tamim is also 50% fit according to akram, so considering he will play it will be tie between mominul and mullah
I won't bother about the pacers.. they are just the fillers..

I like your eleven but I don't think team management will drop M'ullah. So, Mominul or Enamul might have to give way.

I don't see a place for Riyad in this XI. No, I'm not dropping Mominul for him.
Given the strength of this bowling lineup, if we bat out of our skins, we might just be able to secure a draw. Forget about taking 20 wickets.

Mominul
Jahirul
Ashraful
Shakib
Mushfiq
Nasir
Mahmudullah
Gazi
Enamul Jr.
Rabiul
Rubel
Mahmudullah will play as a bowling all rounder. I do not see a place for SN, mominul is a better prospect. If coach and captain picks SN, mominul has to sit out.

Riyad will play imo.
He gives the option of 5th bowler and have taken wickets in SL tests, despite his run draught, which might just save his skin. Plus the VC factor.
Jahurul/Nafees, only one will make it to the XI.
Unless otherwise, both have the same chance of succeeding.
I'd go with this:
1. Jahurul ( Should get another chance, but this might be his last tour if he can't perform)
2. Ashraful ( Should move up the order if Tamim is not playing)
3. Shakib ( he is there as a batsman, so should come up the order)
4. Mominul
5. Nasir
6. Mushy
7. Riyad
8. Gazi
9. Enamul ( Must play)
10. Robiul
11. Sajidul ( No reason to pick him in the XV squad if he is not playing)

YEAH Mahmudullah WILL definitely play because Mushfiq didn't allow ANY of his partimers to even have a chance to prove they can be worthy as 5th bowler. Man this thing just gets on my nerves when people justify Mullah's inclusion as a 5th bowler. I don't mind him playing at all but he needs to compete with mominul for the 4th spot which he clearly lost because of his poor form in the last test,ODI. But No this world is not fair.

Riyad will and should play. A regular shouldnt be dropped based on 1 bad series. With Shakib back, Riyad can bat down the order. Enamul and Gazi both will play even though the surface only calls for one of them. I think Tamim will end up not playing but if he does, I will be very happy. Now, its a call between Nafees and Jahirul and I think Jahirul deserves to play. He sure has the temperament and recent records to justify his slot. But if Tamim plays, I think he might have to sit along with Nafees if we want to play Riyad, Mominul and Ash at the same time.
About the pacers, I wouldnt play Sajidul just yet. Maybe see how Rubel plays on the first test with Robiul.
Tamim
Ashraful
Shakib
Mushfiq
Mominul
Nasir
Riyad
Gazi
Enamul
Rubel
Robiul

May as well. It's not as if our pacers take bagful of wickets anyway. If we play with 7 batsmen then I'd go with:
1. Jahurul
2. Ashraful
3. Mominul
4. Shakib
5. Nasir
6. Mushy
7. Mahmudullah
8. Gazi
9. Enamul
10. Sajedul
11. Robiul

Shakib
Jahir
Ash
Mominul
Riyad
Mushy
Nasir
Gazi
Enamul
Rubel
Sajedul/Robiul
Since Shak will only bat, why not make him open. I want to drop Riyad badly but he is our VC. So won't happen.

A lot of you have Enamul and Sohag in there. I dont see them having both of them since we brought 4 pacers and 2 spinners and also because its a seamer friendly wicket. Also according to the DailyStar article, Rubel and Robiul will play while Shahadat and Sajidul are fighting for the 3rd pacer's slot. So there's a chance Enamul will be left out.

1 tamim/SN
2 jahurul
3 ash
4 mominul
5 shakib
6 mushy
7 nasir
8 gazi
9 enamul
10 robiul
11 sajidul
i don't want to put SN in but i don't think it's a good idea to push ash up the order, he just had a good comeback series at the #3 spot, would rather keep him at #3. should rubel play or shoudn't he? one the one hand he's shown improvement so maybe we should reward him by sticking by him, on the other hand that improvement still isn't at the standard we need him to be (last 3 tests he's averaged 50.50, strike rate of 90, econ of 3.36).

It is funny how people are bumping shakib up the order realizing he wouldn't bowl this only test completely disregarding the fact he was NEVER a top order bat or the fact that this is JUST only a test and probably not worth the adjustment. Because you would have to put him down the order from next match anyway if he bowls. So what are we doing here ? trying to slot in both Mominul and Riyad ? And whose position are you monkeying with to accommodate so that both Riyad and Mominul can play in the middle order ? The no 1 allrounder and the best batsman Bangladesh ever produced who is trying to make a comeback after an injury ? Yeah good luck with that.
P.S why not open with Mullah ? Oh I know why...

Never mind the selectors still opting for Shahadat but if the coach and captain learnt anything from the previous series, shahadat should only be considered if there is a pacer injury or someone performs really bad (although I don't think theoretically it is possible for anyone to do worse than him). It would also be interesting to see if we opt for three pacers and fall into the "pitch" trap again. Regardless, these pacers won't be as good as the wicket. Like the saying goes now, the ball is in Mushy's and Jurgenson's court.

I think droping Enamul will depend upon bowling of Shakib. They said chance of Shakib bowling is 50/50. If Shakib become full fit to bowl in that case we will probably play with 3 pacer.
